i use all my makita batteries with my ryobi tools... just get a adadpter and your golden... no need for another battery platform ...
You can do this with almost any battery and converter but the issue is, if you don't watch battery gauge and zero out your battery, you could brick it (because battery is under voltage) ; basically you'd need to charge before juice runs out to be super safe.......

I think that's what happened to one of my Ryobi batteries. Is there a way to rescue it?
I barely used the battery, but I think it just sat too long.

Google something like "jump start tool battery" and you will likely see options of what you can do.
Be careful though cuz Lithium batteries can be dangerous, I'd recommend doing this outside in an open environment away from stuff/house just in case. You can usually revive a battery that just went too low but I'd only recommend trying this once, if it dies (to where a charger won't charge it) again after use you either need more work to get it going or take it somewhere for disposal.

I solved that by adding an under voltage protection board in my adapter for my Dewalt batteries. It was a snug fit, but it worked.
People should be aware that these are also the worst version of any of these tools. Never the brushless version, the fewest features/modes etc.If you actually really want the particular class of tool you'll probably be rebuying a better version later. It's probably a better strategy to find a tool you kind of want but won't depend on day to day.

It's reciprocating.
Perhaps you meant strokes per minute?
HP?
Google is your friend.
