i use all my makita batteries with my ryobi tools... just get a adadpter and your golden... no need for another battery platform ...
You can do this with almost any battery and converter but the issue is, if you don't watch battery gauge and zero out your battery, you could brick it (because battery is under voltage) ; basically you'd need to charge before juice runs out to be super safe.......
