Also I had this phone and for anyone looking to actually use it as a daily driver, this is super sluggish and virtual ram makes it worse. And to make matters worse further, tracfone/verizon bloatware apps are obnoxious (but can be suppressed via some adb tools, if you are familiar. But can't be completely removed). I do not see any user type to which this can be recommended as a daily driver.
New activation with the above plan will get you the unlock after 60 days, rewards program with ref code will gain you a little over 1500 points on day 60. Good for 1 month unlimited talk/text 30 day extension or 500 minutes + 1000 sms with no day extension.
If you have an existing line then move it onto this phone it will only unlock once its been on the network for 60 days and at least 60 days of "new" paid service has been added to the existing balance through a refill/plan purchase. The refill can be paid for online, with pin from in store purchase, or with reward points.
Bootloader can not be unlocked on Tracfone model, you can remove the stubborn bloatware (Pulse App) with a combination of Shizuku (grants pseudo-root access through adb) and Canta (debloater app that can remove any app on the phone once given pseudo-root permission from Shizuku). Youtube is your friend for setup.
