you can check on the Costco app. on the bottom, click on warehouse and search. price should be accurate. 1 of 3 locations near me has this price but it also happens to be the worst Costco in the US.

Induction heating ONLY works on pans that will stick to a magnet. Half of stainless types are magnetic.

Can you elaborate more ? You put the metallic steamer on the induction bowl instead of the wok ? Doesn't your steamer have a flat base and would wobble ? Does induction heat up your steamer ?If you put a ceramic plate inside your steamer doesn't that defeat the purpose of your steamer (i.e. block the steam) ?
induction + wok + water + a stainless steel round wire rack + plate + food + lid = steamer
wok boils the water. wire rack keeps plate off the wok. stream travels around the plate. steam heats up the enclosed space.
the lid that comes with the wok is smaller than 14". i got another larger lid that gives more interior height.
if you are desperate enough, then i guess you can balance and stack those multi level steamer right on the wok. BUT IT WOULD BE DANGEROUS.

I wouldn't have thought to put a plate on the wire rack, but I guess stream is steam. I usually use the instant pot to cook veggies when I want them steamed. 3 min for corn on the cob etc. What do you find the wok steaming method works best for ? Excited to try this thing out soon

I seen reviews on this product. One downside is people say this induction wok doesn't have "wok hei" meaning "breath of the wok". Basically smoky, charred flavor, aroma, big fire flames that woks are known for having when cooking with one.
This is for apartment/house use. You would need a professional 100K+ btu jet burner to achieve wok hei. At home you can always supplement with torch, MSG, smoky soy sauce, artificial smoke, grill spice etc or combination of thereabove to get some char flavor.

We have gas stove. Why do i need this for inside home cooking?
Gas is probably the worst way to cook, especially inside the house. It's slow with lots of indoor pollution even when not in use. Google it. We just upgraded to an induction cooktop and it's wonderful.

This appliance is concave to fit a round wok; a conventional induction cooktop is flat and would not come into contact with a round bottom well enough to cook with it.
Although there are fat bottom woks specficially for induction cooktops. Granted not the same as a traditional rounded one for the cooking experience, but they work reasonably well.

All the dummies down voting you. they think a tiny 1500w is equivalent to 100k btu

1500W is about 5000btu in math. If you consider the lower efficiency of a gas burner, 1500W induction cooktop is about 8000btu gas cooktop. The largest burner of your home gas cooktop can be 20,000btu or more. In restaurants, gas stoves are 100,000btu or more. So don't expect this to give you the flavors from restaurants.
I bought this, because I wanted to use wok to replace chemically coated cookware.
The wok is also chemically coated

Bc 1500w is nowhere near 100k BTU

When you say "it fits all my plates", you mean it fits on your Gas stove/range?

I would like to buy it but just concerned if my 20 year old Condo outlets supports max watts of this device?
Alternatively, the Wok can be used on the existing Gas stove/range without the Electric stove that comes with this package?
Outlet would be fine. But if you plug something else that's also power hungry, it'll trip your breaker. So don't have other things running on the same line the outlet is on

This appliance is great in concept but not so great in execution. Even on its highest setting it cools down too quickly and the pan itself is not thick enough to retain the heat. As previously posted, you need to cook in small batches or the items you cook have to have a small water content.
If that's the case, you got a defective Unit. This thing won't cool down if it's on it's highest setting

Wondering what kind of nonstick coating is used. Costco doesnt sell off low without a reason.

No, the unit was not defective. A simple search on Amazon supports this complaint. If you want to use this unit for stir frying you must cook in very small batches or use ingredients with a low moisture content, e.g. green beans, else you will simply be steaming the ingredients and will not be doing a proper stir fry.
