i got it for $240 during the last BMSM deal at homedepot.

also it's never worth it to buy the milwaukee tracks unless its the 8ft single track version.

you can get wen or powertec for half the price.

I've never seen it cheaper and am checking to see if it comes with tracks or not.

Seems it doesn't come with a track. Did I miss anything?

Earlier this year is was part of a BMSM program. If you spent over $1000, you got $400 off. If you maxed out the promo it came out to a pro rated/hackable price of about $250.00. Also, it's close enough to Black Friday that if you bought this now, then waited until Black Friday to see if it gets a better price, then you could probably get HD to price match. Or it may be easier to just buy the black friday saw, and return this saw to HD. I've been drooling over this one as well.

I just put it in my cart and added the 55" track w/ track clamps (159.99) for a total of 528.00.

It does not come with the track. The track by itself is another $150.00. It is compatible with Makita style track, but it needs the Milwaukee track in order to properly use the anti tilt mechanism, as far as I know.

In for one. Which means that you can expect this to go on sale for the best ever price right after my return window closes.

From what I understand, this unit is compatible with many of the aftermarket tracks (for example Powertec), as well as Makita, and Festool.

Yes. Also works with the standard festool/Makita tracks.

Thanks man! I may end up waiting on the metabo one, but I'll probably end up buying this. And an M18 charger.

You can probably find chargers used on Marketplace or Offerup for cheap. The Metabo saw does look really nice. Love the fact that it's 36v. I currently have their plunge router and The Stud 7 1/4 circular saw, both 36v. My issue with Metabo is that the batteries never go on sale. I have one 8ah and a 5ah, which comes to 4ah and 2.5ah on the 36v tools. Enough for my light home use, but will become an issue should one begin to fail.

Yup that's my current dilemma. I've avoided the m18 platform as I don't use my tools to make money (yet?) But at this price with a battery and tracks that are easy to come by is sitting on me.
