i got it for $240 during the last BMSM deal at homedepot.

also it's never worth it to buy the milwaukee tracks unless its the 8ft single track version.

you can get wen or powertec for half the price.

It does not come with the track. The track by itself is another $150.00. It is compatible with Makita style track, but it needs the Milwaukee track in order to properly use the anti tilt mechanism, as far as I know.
I have the Powertec track and the anti-tilt works with it.

Thoughts on this deal? I have been looking for a track saw but only like to buy at the best possible price
My 2c...I consider a great price for the bare tool as $300. So, $350 with a 5Ah battery would be awesome. Therefore, based on my reference point, this is $19 more than awesome.

yeah if it came with a charger it could justify the extra 20 bucks. I have the ryobi track saw so I'm not hurting for one- ryobi does surprisingly well with a ton of 3d printed crap to square the track, but the anti tilt just barely works and the plunge depth adjustment is frankly just terrible on the ryobi. Throw in the proprietary tracks bs with the ryobi and man, you can't do anything aftermarket. I've been trying to buy the 55in track for the ryobi for like 8 months.

Amazing track saw that is just as good as the ones from Festool. It works really well with the Festool dust extractor.

It is a lot more money but you get the track the case ho 6 and charger for 869 (not on sale). Wondering if track, case, charger is worth $500.

The case is sort of the only thing that's interesting to me because having a nice case for it is nice. Not sure worth $250 or whatever it is.

This track saw is my favorite tool I have ever bought. As others have mentioned, it is compatible with other tracks, including the Wen which I use. The only issue with this deal is the 5.0 battery. This saw benefits from the higher current of the 6.0 and 8.0 HO batteries. The 5.0 will probably be okay for plywood, but it'll be easier and more fun with a 6 or 8.

I would maybe pay $300 more for a slightly better battery, a track, and a case... definitely not worth $500 more than this deal. 869 is the full retail price, the kit minus the track was $487 like a week ago, add 150 for track at full price or like people here are suggesting, get an off brand that works fine for half that.

Is this as good as Festool?
No anti-kickback, no wireless or vaculink. So dust extraction is better on Makita and Festool if you're a professional. Some dust extraction units have a remote start button.

This isn't a saw you want banging around in a bag. Case is nice to have.

Same. Glad I hopped on it then, haven't seen a similar deal since.
