Doesn't mean much in 2025. VA panels today can provide a better experience then IPS. Lousy IPS can be way worse than decent VA.

How does it compare to this one in terms of quality? I currently have it and it's really nice when I bought it at $190 and I now it's around $150,

My
kid just cracked a Samsung 4k curved and I found the Acer to be very very good as it was next to the Samsung, and this one for $120 is a steal, he's Def not getting another 4k but imo it wasn't a wow factor from the 2k monitor

How are they side by side?
I gave one to my wife for her main monitor, and use the other 2 as my side monitors (on swivel arms), I use a TCL 50" 4k tv as my 'main', about a foot back from the two sides. The TV is great for gaming (albeit 60Hz) and programming, and the sides are great at gaming/programming as well.

1440@60/120hz on a 31" seems ideal to me.

Hoping the Acer Predator 42.5in 4K UHD Gaming Monitor 144Hz on sale right now disappears before i break down and buy it to replace my main...

VA = Better blacks and contrasts. IPS = better viewing angles and colors. But you are going to stay in front of it, not at the sides .

from the ad:
Unless the item is defective, the buyer is responsible for return shipping.

Also, it is ebay, if the item is defective they force seller to pay for return shipping
