I bought this when it was released before the Quake. While it's a fast and reliable RC car it's not without its drawbacks. It sits pretty low and isn't great driving through grass. You really need dirt clear of plants. It eats through back tires like candy. Since the fronts are different you can't rotate them to extend life. Also camber is pretty aggressive and unevenly wear the back tires. I also picked up the Quake and it's much more versatile. I would recommend the Quake instead. It's also 20% on Horizon today with the code as well.

I have this and it's pretty good but it's still too expensive at this price I would wait for it to drop at least another $50 or purchase something that's four-wheel drive

It's not even remotely comparable to a 4wd experience. Cutting power and having a vastly slower experience isn't conducive to a fun experience for kids and beginners.

I have a MJX 14210 with 2S and 3S 3000mah battery. Is this a worthwhile upgrade from the MJX ?

The advantage of this one is parts are more plentiful then a generic brand (MJX) RC car (although I see Amazon looks to have quite a bit), and it's 1/10th scale rather than 1/14th scale.
The disadvantage is this car is 2WD, not 4WD, so in many ways a downgrade over what you have now.

These things will break and parts do wear out. It's important to get name brand vs those chinese ones off Amazon because of parts support. Yes those Amazon ones may be cheaper at first but when parts break and you are unable to find replacements, they end up being expensive paper weights.

Exactly. Hence why I believe that for most people in the USA, getting a cheap Traxxas model is by far the best bet. Yes, it's more (often $100-$150 more) than a cheap Chinese no-name brand (and $50-$75 more than other brands) but parts are everywhere and that's a major advantage.

I enjoy 2wd as well, however, most of the time these are entry level cars for beginners that have little to no experience driving and will be in the yard or semi slick surfaces. The 4WD teaches the basics of control and steering. They get real sassy when the car does go or handle well.

I always tell people, get the largest 4wd vehicle and scale down from there.

Same with drones. Buy the best you can afford as they're easier to control and hardest to wreck.

it's okay brother. For a 2WD with DSC at $200 this is an awesome, stable basher
