It was a mistake for best buy to start allowing third party sellers like the other websites.

Have carrier insurance from the day of activation.

PSA: T-Mobile requires in store inspection (free) or the insurance does nothing. Film it in case the rep botches registering the device after inspection... Been there.

I have had a Galaxy Z Fold 5 for over two years and it is the best phone I have ever owned. My wife also has had the Z Flip 5 for two years. She loves it. Neither one of us have had a single issue and we will both upgrade to newer Galaxy Fold phones in a few years. Samsung AI is useful also.

What if you already have insurance will they still want in store inspection

Cellfee does a ton of used sales. I'm wearing a Samsung used right now from them. Their grading can be off, though good seller overall.

I'd buy this phone for maybe $150 used. Lot of issues I've read about.

I have owned Flip 3, 4, 5, 6, all because of good trade-in deals. Flip 3 is the worst. The protective film started to bubble up within 3 months. Flip 5 is the second worst, the protective film lasted about 10 months. Flip 4 lasted a year without problem before I traded in. Flip 6 is working fine after over a year. The reliability is folding phone is improving, but by no means to a level comparable to non-folding phones.

Wife used a zFlip4 for a year. She babied it and still had to get the screen replaced twice over that 1 year period. Ditched it as soon as she qualified for an upgrade.

Maybe these are more durable, but seems like a huge roll of the dice for a refurb.

If photography is your priority in choosing a phone, Z Flip is not one of your candidates. The image quality, particularly in low light, of my Z Flip 6 is worse than the older and cheaper Pixel 6A.

In case anyone is confused, Mint is the color of the phone, not the service (Mint mobile).

We need AI deal alerts or something...

I had mine since release and no issues. (Knock on wood)

I would expect a needed inspection since they haven't previously insured this phone. Similar to buying a used car and putting collision and/or comprehensive coverage on it

It's an unfortunate reality - every retailer is trying to parrot Amazon's approach and turn their "store" into a "platform." It's an obvious win for them (and an obvious loss for consumers due to fakes, poor quality, and poor support).

I've had a zFlip4 for 1.5 years and have had zero problems and have dropped it way too many times. The crease in the screen isn't perfect but still works fine
