I have to agree. This Govee one only has one sensor as far as I can tell. The Thermomaven has 6 which is much much better. You can see all the sensor readings on that one in their app .

Of course, but that assumes you have same thickness steaks and your heat is fairly even. Honestly I couldn't imagine putting probes into every steak.

Seems nobody has mentioned the app. If you already have Govee products in your house this just makes sense over other brands. We all have too many apps on our phones.

Got this earlier in the year and love it. Once I get the smoker to temp, toss the cut in, and let it run. I like the Govee because my smoker is a distance from my house and doesn't get wifi, so I can place the case (base station thing) mid way between the smoker and my house. The base gets the signals from the thermometer, and the wifi reaches the base so it shows on my phone.

As someone else mentioned..these have one sensor. This might be okay for a 1 to 1.5 inch ribeye...but I wouldnt trust it for a pork butt, brisket, or chicken. Also the battery life is most likely closer to 12-15 hours on wifi. The advertised life is almoat always the Bluetooth which is the most spotty and unreliable.

Had one of these and stopped working just over a month and the temps seemed to be off a bit. I know it's not remotely in the same pricerange but I decided not to cheap out 2nd time and got the Thermoworks RFX which has been awesome - arguably the best on the market - I got mine around 50% off assuming they will probably have a sale on black friday/cyber monday. Only downside for some people is the ambient temp sensor is wired, they did that as the built in ones on the wireless probes can be not as accurate (suposidly)

ThermoMaven is Bluetooth only , Govee is WIFI, that means the grill can be in the backyard and I can see the temperature from basically anywhere in the world. Not the same products IMHO when using in a smoker.
