does this work on 50amp sockets? or only standard house plugs?
edit: nvm I see the prongs are attached to it so it will only fit in standard sockets.

Meanwhile, this is lower in price all the time and won't block the other outlet.

It's not a Fluke, but you don't need a Fluke to do this testing.

Crazy how prices of these things has gone up.

But I've always wanted a Fluke. Back in the early IT days for rj45 port testing those Fluke testers were pricey.

Right, as long as they don't have the perpendicular spades is more what I was getting at.

Price is good but size is way too big IMO. I have a Commerical Electric MS6860H that is maybe 30% the size of this that does the same. The newer Commercial Electric is $11.97 standard price and has a small form factor. If you need to carry tools, size does matter and in this case smaller is prefered.
See Commercial Electric @ HD without shopping atg all: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Comme...-n/a-_-n/a
EDIT: and for $2 more you can get a voltage tester: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Comme...UQQAvD_BwE

Yeah but how are people gonna see you have a fluke outlet tester if it's that small and also not fluke brand. Electricians will think you're uncool.

just curious... why? doesn't a home inspector test all your lets when you buy the home? What could possibly change?

Maybe, maybe not. Not every home gets inspected when it changes owners.

Also, what if you needed to replace a GFCI outlet? You'd want to test it to be sure it was installed correctly.
