This is probably what these controllers should always cost considering they stayed basically unchanged since Xbox one. Stick drift is a problem, but it's the same on PS5 and even the "pro" controllers get it. I really wish manufacturers would just spend the extra 50 cents on quality joysticks and pass the cost on to the consumer

My current one is ~3 years old at this point and has bad stick drift from time to time. I guess my next one will be hall-effect or TMR.

I tried another brand with hall effect because I tend to kill these in about a year. The controller wasn't as comfortable and it didn't last. It died today (Bluetooth went out) after 3 to 6 months.
After picking up my new controller at Walmart. I purchased Microsoft complete added 3 years of replacement for $10. I was going to get the extended warranty through Walmart but a quick Google said that they suck. Just register the SN in Microsoft account and you can add Microsoft Complete. Covers 2 replacements. We will see how this works out.

wishful thinking is fine and all but will they really something about it? Action speaks louder than words.
I'm looking for the best possible PC XBOX style controller possible. Any suggestions?
with Bluetooth device on your PC, you can use XBOX controller as gamepad. All of my games support it. It's by far the best controller as other mentioned. I have mine for years and still no issue.
Purchased one just over a week ago at $54. Still unopened. Buying this and returning the other to put $10 back in my pocket.
Did as well and doing the same now.
I'm curious if people ever have an issue with the controller disconnecting. I put in fresh batteries and it keeps popping up on the console that the controller needs to be connected. Frustrating as hell!

Hmm, not sure. Maybe Bluetooth connection stability. The only time I've had mine drop offline is when the batteries were dying. And if your lucky - the game usually sees this and pauses. (not helpful of course if your playing an FPS game though of course)
