This is that weak version with a worse performance than original Rog Ally Extreme from two years ago

Yes, but steam deck OLED has a better screen. And it's cheaper when on sale. The performance between this and steam deck OLED is about the same. If one doesn't specifically care about the anti-cheat games that steam deck doesn't support, steam deck OLED might be the better option. Of course there are other considerations-- primarily game pass, which remains a perfectly valid argument in favor of the Xbox ROG Ally. I have windows installed in a partition on my steam deck and sometimes play game pass games on it, but getting them to work with the controllers is always a pain. The easiest way is to use controllers is Glossi, but it's ending active development. The current version works there is no telling how long it'll continue to work. At some point it'll break and one will have to wait for a fork or another project that may or may not work as well.Bottom line - if you are a game pass user, the XBox ROG Ally will be the best option. If not, steam deck is a better option in my opinion.

I'd go with Walmart for extended Holiday return window, price being equal - unless there's a coupon for VIPoutlet...

Way less too.

Better then SteamDeck. Install SteamOs or Bazzite for best experience.

Had the z1 extreme, got an legion go and installed the same stuff on the leigon go and somehow the leigon is quicker, faster and loads up in seconds. The rog ally z1 extreme took like 30 seconds to load most times.

Might as well get a steam deck instead, there is no point in buying the white ROG Xbox Ally. Buy a Steamdeck, Z1 Extreme, X for less and be faster and better.

It's the same chip as the Steam Deck (4-core Zen 2, 8 CUs RDNA2). So it comes down to pricing, build quality/preferences, screen, etc.

You can install Windows, SteamOS, Bazzite, whatever on both the ROG Xbox Ally and Steam Deck.

Is it really though? Comparing sale prices the LCD is $320 vs $575 meaning its 45% cheaper than this ROG Ally Z2A with similar performance. There are a few nice to haves, like the slightly brighter and faster screen, more storage, faster bluetooth/WiFi, multiple USB-C ports etc but it depends on if you value those or not. Though you can install Bazzite on this or Windows FSE on SD for similar capabilities on both.

If you are like me and have a good PC, you can skip game incompatibilities/configuration and all that junk and just stream via Moonlight/Sunshine. Not sure how low the latency is on this, but I'm getting under 4ms on Steam Deck with WiFi 5.

1080p vs 720p, larger battery, better handling, imho are very important differences you missed in this handheld comparison.
