Not to mention if it's anything like the standard ROG Ally (which can be improved with a 3rd party upgrade), it can't lower down to 4-5W for indie titles which will affect low-end battery life. It will probably be better if you lower the resolution to 720p and compare AA/AAA titles at higher wattages but at that point you also have to consider the OLED version of the Steam Deck at the same price as this which has much better battery than the LCD model.
Point is that it's tough to see the benefits for this model (not the X which is good for its expensive price range) over something like a Steam Deck LCD/OLED or used ROG Ally Z1X with a battery swap. I think once the price comes down or it goes on sale at BB like the OG Ally did with fire open-box sales it will have a much better value proposition.

The Xbox Ally is just overpriced above $500. It's not a terrible platform, it's just priced badly, and is already seeing big discounts on the Open Box market.
Better then SteamDeck. Install SteamOs or Bazzite for best experience.
