That's great for people who can do these types of deals. Some people want to buy a phone as a Christmas gift or just need one now and don't want to mess with the hoops required. I'm a big fan of those deals, not knocking them at all, and most are not 256gb but 128.
But for an outright purchase with no strings attached to use it on any carrier you like, this is a nice deal on a nice phone.
If so, this phone and another $35 or so spent on other items or gift cards BILLED from Best Buy (not a third party) will trigger it. Sales tax COUNTS towards the charged amount.
So with 8% sales tax, this item will be close to $216.
