Is it too much to hope for 32gb ram for this spec?

Yeah, I'm very bummed that all the laptop makers are moving to glossy OLEDs. Would love to still have the option of good quality matte IPS which is still my preferred screen type. Not as vibrant but easier on the eyes and no reflection/glare problem.

Mini LED is a great compromise for Best of both worlds. Check out Razor Blade 16 or Asus Zephyrus g14.
They diteched the Mini LED 2 generation back.

I would wait for BF sale at this point if you are thinking of these. I sent one back because the glossy OLED was too reflective for daily duty in an averagely lit room. Even in less than average light if you have a window behind you it WILL reflect.
if you look closely at the specs/configurate you'll see that GLARE is listed as a feature'. I guess kinda like a rear view mirror...no one IRL is going to sneak up on you from behind! antitheft purposes! Or if you're halfway to your destination and you're girlfriend realizes she forget makeup compact mirror and demands you turn the vehicle around to go back and get it. just tell her "no need just use my glossy laptop screen!" Could save you hours of travel time and fuel wasted. Nice woot

Have you considered the Costco Legion 5i which has a 16" 240 Hz IPS panel (Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, 32 GB, 1 TB SSD, RTX 5060 @ 105w) instead? It'll be on sale 11/28 for $1200. I also think that an IPS will be better than OLED for my uses, and I posted in the SD thread for that that the machine seems to have a mix of Legion 5i and Legion Pro 5i characteristics.

I like it, and I'm thinking about buying it. I actually prefer the IPS over OLED because of the glare, and although the Costco chassis is heavier and larger than normal Legion 5/5i, presumably that means that the thermals will be better along the lines of the Pro 5i. I'd prefer to have the power and HDMI connections in the back rather than on the left side, but that's the tradeoff with that chassis/cooling setup. I probably would have preferred the Ryzen 7 AI 350 for the better battery life, but the Intel Core Ultra 9 275 HX will give me good enough battery life for when I occasionally use it not plugged in, especially my intention is to force it into iGPU only mode except when I really want to use the dGPU (but I'll reconsider if the hybrid mode doesn't cause crashes like it does on my current Legion 5). I don't mind too much that the RTX 5060 is at 105w since I don't need bleeding edge GPU performance, and it appears that there's only a small difference between it running at 105 vs. 115 watts.

Bought this today and ended up getting a great deal after requesting one from the Lenovo reps on the chat - better than what I had mustered up myself, with coupons

FYI, I bought this and the laptop has been spontaneously rebooting at random times since day 1. It's not windows updates because I have the settings to notify me when a restart is needed. It also happens when update isn't running.

All software and bios is updated too. I'm guessing it's hardware related.

A replacement is being mailed to me today, so hopefully that's good and it's not a widespread Legion issue.

The replacement laptop is also doing this. Not great.
