One review on Amazon says it's a 60hz display.

Careful with these. Make sure your use case can deal with the incompatibilities you'll see with Windows for ARM. There is another deal floating around for a refurbished Omnibook X with Snapdragon X Elite and otherwise similar specs, for $450.

The reason so many of these are available, like new, is because they're frequently returned due to ARM compatibility issues. You'll find game compatibility is also poor, despite otherwise being fairly decent iGPU specs.

If you just need a standard thin-and-light for daily tasks and web browsing however, this is a good power-efficient laptop.

The has OLED 1200p and the Snapdragon X Plus vs the refurb deals that have the IPS touch 1400p and the Snapdragon X Elite - the Elite has more cores (12), faster clock speed, better GPU performance, and is overall a more premium chip - I bought the refurb and it came in mint condition with only 2 battery cycles - the higher resolution screen is also better IMO

I got an another ARM laptop for my wife from another vendor - gorgeous screen, super light, and great battery life. It handled her daily stuff perfectly, but once she started a side hustle that needed some less common software, the ARM compatibility issues kicked in. We missed the return window, but support was surprisingly good and issued a store credit, so we ended up getting a Windows laptop instead.

Only 2 battery cycles? Geez, doesn't that tell you exactly the reason so many of these were returned? I bet someone installed Steam, tried one game and it failed to launch, then they just turned it off and returned it. Honestly, that's understandable.

I see these ARM laptops being useful to two types of people:
1) Those who are technical and understand that all x86 applications will have to be emulated, and are willing to put up with some tinkering or straight up incompatibilities
2) Those with with very basic requirements, like web browsing, MS Office, a little photo editing, etc.

I could personally see this being a good secondary PC if you value battery life greatly, and don't care about advanced applications that might not be able to be emulated. I hear application and game compatibility is improved, but still lacking a year and a half after these chipsets went out to the public. Qualcomm really needs to work harder with Microsoft if they want anyone to view them as a serious alternative to Intel and AMD systems.

That's exactly why I just can't recommend these. I haven't personally dealt with them, (work for a MSP who manages thousands of machines) but there are excellent thin-and-light alternatives out there from Intel and AMD with nearly as good battery life, and none of the compatibility issues. That's the reason these ARM laptops are available widely for nearly half their original MSRP.

For me I use the computer for work - which is Office applications, file management / file collaboration / and conferencing, I don't game - so for most people who are professionals the X86 emulation will be a non-issue unless there is some enterprise application that isn't supported on ARM

That's a near perfect example of a use scenario for these Snapdragon laptops. If someone is confident the apps they need to use will be compatible (there are compatibility lists available) then the Windows for ARM experience will be good.
