I think I got this for about $96 from Amazon within the past year, but this is still a decent price. And if you have a Lowe's card, you can buy a 20% off coupon from here for $7:
https://www.savendeals.com/lowes-...ne-coupon/

That's about $21 in savings minus $7 for the coupon. So $109 - $14 = $95 before taxes. I think that's a good deal, and I really like this inflator. My wife has been asking for a second one, so I'm going for it.

Edit: $87.20 before tax, plus the $7 coupon in the end. Good find!

I own this inflator, and about 2 weeks after I bought it, it came in super clutch after I ran over a nail. Just kept it in my car and was able to still get to and back to work with the slow leak. Paired it with a 5ah powerpack and it performed like a champ.

They still got some Type 1 floating around inventory, so make sure you get the better type 2 revision.

I have one and like it, but I do wish they would move the display to the top so it can bee seen while it's in use.

I'd like to chime in on this one. A buddy of mine had this and had a small Ford Transit connect van which is smaller than some cars with an old battery fail. We hooked it up and it's got a testing mechanism and it showed engine symbol when we hooked it up initially. We tried to jump it as it was but it wouldn't jump. Barely even tried to turn over.

Had a cheap little Chinese one that actually tried to turn but didn't do a good enough job to make it turn over. I'm talking about a little $35 piece of junk. His wouldn't do that.

Ultimately we pulled up some jumper cables and ran it like you would always do and we're able to jump it off the first time. We looked at each other and just laughed.

The moral of the story, don't depend on these. At least make sure it's dual function (this has an inflator too which might be is strong spot).
THIS is ONLY an inflator!

It is not as if Type 1 is old and Type 2 is new.

I bought a Type 2 back in early 2024, with a late 2023 date code on it. Made in Vietnam.

1.5 years later it broke and was replaced on warranty (3 years) by DeWalt with a Type 1, made in China, with a 2025 date code on it.

Type 2 seemed better to me. The Type 1 replacement pumps slower, and makes more of a noise when pumping to pressure.

Externally, they both look the same other than the country of origin and Type #. Function basically the same, but who knows what is inside that is different. Maybe DeWalt gave the same spec to both Chinese and Vietnamese manufacturers, and continue to sell them as 1 and 2???

I'm sorry, your buddy tried to jump start a car with a dead battery with this inflator? What in the world made your buddy think an inflator can be used to jump start a car and how would you even attempt to do that???

How do you know type 2 is better? I have both and the type 2 is slightly slower. Not sure if it's better internally.

I have both type 1 and 2. The type 2 is roughly 5% slower. I haven't been motivated to open them up to compare. Curious if there is much difference or improvement. They both look and sound the same.

One thing about these is I've had cheaper no-name ones and the hoses / nozzles tend to leak and fall apart after just a few uses. I've had this one for years with no issues, and it's pretty obviously just built to not fall apart in the same way. The Presta valve adapter is a bit touchy but that's a pretty common thing you could work around if it really bothered you.
I do feel like this price is a little high for a 'slick deal' but it's a satisfactory piece of equipment.

Don't forget to buy this $5.20 part off Amazon. It screws onto the end of the Dewalt hose, so you don't have to waste time screwing it on/off each tire valve.
