I've completely trashed mine, but our local hobby shop had the replacement parts to fix it, which was great. I bought several pieces, including the frame itself, and spent about $60 total in parts. The repair process was time consuming but was a ton of fun to do on my own.
Something I wish I had known before purchasing my first car is how slow the stock charger is. If you enjoy the hobby, then you should definitely invest in a better charger and extra batteries. I purchased several off-brand 3S batteries off Amazon and they've never given me issues, but maybe others have better feedback here. I also purchased a Venom Power Pro Duo charger, which set me back about $120, but it reduced charging times drastically.

imagine a 10lb (with battery) RC car going 60mph hitting a kid, a car or a fence. these arent the tyco or nikko things we had when we were kids.
but they are super fun.
i suggest grabbing a couple of these 3s 120c batteries:

It seems the big truck might be more capable of doing more things.. is it worth it , especially since I want my kid to have fun with it. Not working about if she grass is too high etc
As others have said extra batteries and faster charger, preferably one that can balance too, is a must. Get hard shell packs of you can. Better protected if you do wreck it.
