It meets the kWh requirements. Part of the requirement for the credit is also the unit be installed or connected to your home but in what way is open to very loose interpretation.

Very Interesting, but I noticed it's not just the inverter specs. I could understand a possible mistake or typo if it were more isolated, but I'm noticing a couple of different discrepancies. Figures on this welbots unit that are lower than the unit on Pecrons official site. Like the lower inverter numbers you pointed out, but also the solar input specs. It says it accepts just 600w of solar rather than the 1600w the one on pecrons site show but it also claims it can charge in 2.5 hours with 600 watts of solar. You dont have to be a mathematician to know you cant charge 3kwh+ in 2.5 hours with 600 watts. More like double that figure to 5 hrs, minimum. 5hrs x 600w = 3kWh. Something feels off about this unit.

What is the quality of the batteries in these? It says in product details it's LiFePo4 and it supposedly can do 3500+ charging cycles until it's 80% capacity, but is the battery good quality? Do these actually get 3072Wh?

No, it wont pull full capacity. Power stations aren't like raw LiFePo4 batteries that will typically pull full capacity or maybe even a bit more. Power stations in general average about 85% give or take a few percent, So if this is 85% efficient, It will give you 2611Wh of useable power.

Too much bickering that honestly aren't helpful.
Instead, any of you know if how or if this is a better deal (or has better feature or missing features) compared to thee Ecoflow Delta 3 Max ($950 or so) or Jackery HomePower 3000 ($850 or so)?
They all seem to be 3kWh units so roughly in the sam class. The "smart" app on Ecoflow looks very full featured. I think Pecron is more basic, and I have no idea on the Jackery.

Is there a reason to go with this brand over Ecoflow or one of the other "battery generator" brands? I've never heard of Pecron

This price is great, but it's only $816 after a 5% discount code on the Pecorine official website, plus a 5-year warranty. For the sake of authoritative assurance, I will still choose their official website.

This price is tempting. If I had no power stations, I would probably buy it now. But Black Friday is just around the corner...
I am in the same boat, don't really need this one, but very tempting. Will wait until it gets closer to $729 woot

great price. but you get an extra 3 year warranty if purchased on the pecron website for a total of 5 years instead of two. so I'm not sure it's worth the savings. currently $854 on pecron site with coupon code THESOLARLAB5
Now $816 with coupon GOGREEN.

Damn. Trying to decide between this or the jackery deal with the 200w panel.
Or wait for BF. Think I am still gonna wait!

Conflicted now between just getting this for ease of use vs a Pecron e1000/1500 and then hooking that up to a 48v server rack battery from ecoworthy. The former is cleaner looking but less portable for camping, while the latter has more parts, costs more and doesn't look as nice, but I can just take the smaller unit.

You also have to consider your use case. I just ordered the pecron e1000 from aliexpress. I got it since it is going to be dedicated to be a mobile unit. It will stay in the car to power my 12v compressor fridge. I would go for this unit posted if it were going to be mostly stationary. Biggest difference are capacity. Of course the run time is tripled but so is the inverter. Even if you do attach an aux battery to the e1000 you can only run 1800w total vs 3000w with this unit.

interesting, thank you for sharing! I didn't consider that. I admit I am mainly getting it for outages, but it is nice to be able to move it around if I go camping, hence the idea of an aux battery either a 48v or a pecron EP3000

I have read on another post that after 2 years you have to pay for shipping which shipping this massive unit will cost you a lot
Directly from Pecron:
Regarding the return shipping costs for faulty units, our warranty-related shipping policy is as follows:
1. Within 3 months of receipt: We will cover the shipping costs for returning the unit and arrange a replacement .
2. Between 3 months and 1 year of receipt: We will bear all round-trip shipping costs and repair fees for maintenance.
3. Beyond 1 year but still within the warranty period: You only need to cover the shipping cost to send the unit back to us; we will be responsible for the repair fees and the shipping cost to send the repaired unit back to you.

I am not up to speed on these but in my every other whim researching the Pecron will let you expand out to a 48/51.2v battery which dramatically increases its capacity and it will charge that battery using its internal charger and all in all seems like a really cool situation for a DIYer. Flipside that might not be what the majority of buyers of these are looking for, but i do not think the other brands allow it, or work as well in that specific use case as the Pecrons. Still learning and less and less interested in become as detailed of a SME on junk as i used to be but thought i'd share a part i found interesting.

I got the home power yesterday, it works if there is an app I'd never use it. That being said the pecron is more full featured (ability to charge/use a secondary battery is a huge plus) but I don't trust the brand at the end of the day. Still have the box for the Jackery in case a bette4 deal comes along.
