Not necessarily. i'd say for most people (36G should more than enough). myself bought this exactly machine about 7 months ago, love it so far. As a developer, i'd say unless you are trying to run LLM locally, there is really not need to get 64G or above.

I had M1 Max 64G MBP before, and this machine is a great upgrade from there , despite with less RAM.

It doesn't take brains or creativity to figure out that 64 is more than 32 and 128 is more than 64. And it's not hard to open up hundreds of browser tabs in order to "prove" that you can use up memory. Big whoop.

Whether so much more memory is necessary or provides a benefit is another story. I have 16 GB and never run into problems.

I been trying to get B&H to price match the 64 GB mac studio but they have been unwilling to. The price they gave me was 2699.99 which is not anywhere near the price of microcenter. Any tricks to get them to price match it?
