I don't recommend buying keys you don't intend to use right away , they might get sold again and by the time you get around to using them you won't have any buyers protection

I guess the days of 6 dollar a month are over. Good thing I don't play much any more.

$227 after tax for me. Does the regular MS subscription charge tax? If not, it reduces the savings to $36/yr

Yes, this is a good deal considering the price, but it is still too much for me. The good old days are gone.

Wait how did it split across 3 people? Sorry I'm not in the loop.

So about $40 a year in savings. $120 savings for 3 years is good enough to bite for me.

GPU is the exact reason I bought a PC to game. Games are vastly cheaper, playing online is free, and you can play nearly all the same games.

Xbox and PlayStation are pushing themselves out of the market with these insane prices to play online or access game libraries. I've played 2 games over the last year that I would buy, call it 100 bucks. GPU is 200? TF?

Most the games are cross platform, a PC thats 1000 bucks will blow a PS5P/XBX out of the water.
Enjoy it while it lasts. Publishers are moving the entire gaming industry towards a subscription service based model à la Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, etc. etc. Of course you can still but Blu-rays, etc. but, just like the TV/film industry, a lot of content is going to be walled into these services in a decade.

I wouldn't even be surprised if support for older titles was straight up dropped in favor of moving them to the subscription services. I can especially see Nintendo doing this with old titles and future hardware (Switch 3 and beyond) as well.

Went into Best Buy yesterday and the Xbox section was a graveyard - all the games were gone and deep discounts on returned Elite Series controllers, along with various other peripherals. This generation of Xbox came to a screeching halt quite fast. Coincided with my 15 year Xbox Live/Gamepass Ultimate subscription finally running out its last 3 year top up. I dont think I'm coming back

They do not. I ran into this a few years ago myself. Just keep them in a safe spot until you're ready to redeem.
I would absolutely not hold onto keys from this company. This isn't like buying from Best Buy. You want to make sure it works asap.

Thanks for confirming what I'd thought but was unsure about. I'm tempted to buy three years!
At the rate Microsoft is nose diving their Xbox division, gamepass won't even exist in 3 years.

My GPU expires in December. Should I redeem this now and extend it or wait till it expires to redeem? Wasn't sure if there's any benefit to waiting
I'd buy this now. Lowest monthly price I've seen in months.

Yes, the regular subscription has taxes added on.
