I have a bunch of these types and micro to C.

Be careful as they can put a leverage of pressure on the usb c port from an angle

These are very handy, but know their limits. They are limited to USB 2 power and speed, even if you have a USB 3 connector ✌️😀

Does this mean it will still charge but not as fast? My new car is all usb-c and I was going to pick these up for the odd ball stuff we have that is still A

Correct. The power negotiating (PD) bits are specific to USB-C cables so using the adapter limits you to the standard 5 volts that USB-A provides. Still works perfectly fine for charging it just may not be as fast as it could be if it was a native USB-C cable.

Power yes, speed no. USB 2 cap is 480 Mbps, these do (or at least say they do) support the 5 Gbps speed of basic USB 3. My purchase history doesn't show this specific vendor but I have bought a few sets of these from a few different vendors and they all support 5 Gbps USB 3. At least one of them says it supported 10 Gbps USB 3 but since I don't have any 10 Gbps USB-A devices (that I know of at least) I've only confirmed that they do actually support 5 Gbps.
