I was able to get the 10 Pro for $389 by selecting the 20GB plan and using code YEAROFMINT. I'm not sure how the math worked out that way, but I'll take it!

yes, my order automatically got flagged by the system.. i was told probably because billing and shipping addresses were different.. annoying. I proactively called them.. but I was busy all day and didn't get to call them until late in the afternoon.. I mean this deal is good.. but Mint in general sucks so far.. although not the worst of the carriers in the U.S
I see. Wait just to be very clear, because mine is the same case (billing and shipping are different because this is a gift). When you had your addresses different, you didn't receive a confirmation but a "your order is in review" email, right? I didn't receive that but got a confirmed email instead. I didn't call them or anything, so I was wondering.

No, it didn't

Try putting in a Mint e-sim and see if it locks?

yes! mine got the dreaded "review" email though I thought everyone had gotten that one? I haven't received a "confirmed" email but I confirmed it twice over the phone with customer support.. but I'm worried because it didn't ship today like they said it would

I don't know if everyone got one. The subject said "we've received your order" and the body had an image saying your order is confirmed and they gave the order number beginning with MT. I'm wondering as well if they'll ship it tomorrow...

Why would I risk that?

but my experience with doing this is Google Voice numbers are always flagged as VoIp in whatever backend systems exists... like I've ported one of my Google Voice numbers to Total Wireless before.. but I still encountered issues with receiving some 2FA codes.. how the heck do you get around that issue? tia
99% of 2FA works with Google voice now. I think I have one bank account where it won't send a text message through, but it gives me the option for a voice verification which works.

I have a work cell phone that I can use as a backup, but I suppose I could also use my wife's number or my own carrier number and just make a note of which accounts need a real phone number and update it every year as my carrier number changes.

For those that received their order, I'm just curious, did the phone come in a Google OEM box like the ones in unboxing videos, or did it come in a different box?

Just got my phones and it shows that it's compatible with both Verizon and T-Mobile when I did an IMEI check. I'm still copying files over from my old phone, but I'll let you all know if mine says carrier unlocked in the settings and work with my infimobile e-sim.

It will lock at some point in the future no matter what, unless you never plan to use Mint sim on it. If that's the case then pretty much you will keep the phone as old blacklisted phones used to be. So this conversation about unlocked out of box, but gets locked if put mint esim sounds non sense. I rather have it locked 2 months now, than risk getting it locked at some point down the road once I use Mint sims.
