It's tough bc when they indicate season 1, that means there will be other seasons. And u will have to rebuy it later for other editions. ESP when it's new.

None of these games are bringing anything new to the table are they? They just have slightly better gfx and higher prices than ever. I'm looking forward mroe an more everyday to ai generating the clone media in half a second and these ancient media companies laying down with the triceritops.

Agreed but this have started at $60 not $70 or $80 like newer games are not plus this offer makes it a great buy

i think it's pretty safe to say that the graphics on this one would be significantly better than the previous one since the previous fatal fury release was more than 25 years back.

I mean it's better than the arcade games in the 80s an 90s. But is the gfx that much better than crisis or splinter cell blacklist from 2010? Would I want to pay $700 for a console or $2500 for a pc for the "newness" games are providing? There was a huge decade long stall in gaming during the 2000 shift to 3d as well. Horrible controls and horrible gfx to match. Tho kids new to gaming thought PS looked amazing and RE was controllable (actually the argument I read this week was RE was designed with bad controls to make the game feel more scary like you were helpless 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I don't think anyone argued N64 had good controls.

And let's not forget; even my supercomputer couldn't actually run games in 4k at anything more than the lowest settings 10 years ago. So I doubt you could get anything over 4k 60hz if using higher settings. Lots of talk how great gfx get an they was never any talk about how you can't actually achieve those gfx.

i agree that most of the more recent console releases have been uninspired to say the least mostly because of the very minimal upgrades from the previous releases. this one however is a very weird case. i did say that the last fatal fury release was more than 25 years back and not only that but also that game still had sprites for graphics and they completely skipped the 3d era you were referring to which is pretty rare for most games.

i would say the main target demographic for this game is mostly the very niche, very loyal fgc street fighter crowd (they even have a street fighter character on the thumbnail) which would be around the 30 to 50 yr old age range so the main concern would be the game feel and how the gameplay should still be as close to the originals as much as possible. the system requirement is also on the really low side since graphics is not really the main driving point of the game.

all that being said, this is probably one of the worst managed of all the recent fighting games. you have to pay for the game itself, pay for the season passes to unlock newer characters and you also have to deal with saudi basically owning the developer and making them release real life characters (a famous soccer player and a virtually unknown dj) instead of actual fighting game characters.

Yea on the who should be interested. A problem there is that most people my age don't know how to use computers very well. I think all my friends who own computers do so cause they build computers. I'm just gonna steady boycott most games till they realize their worth. I see some games still at $70 more than 2 years after release and some arguing the newer ones look worse than the previous (MK) . I don't see the value in it if it's just a new skin ; that I'll have to build an expensive system to expect to expect to see. Tbh I was watching the "realistic" mods of cyberpunk 2077 and that did kinda look like a gfx upgrade ; but didn't feel revolutionary. tho I have to throw the fact in I'm also watching most videos on my 1440 oled and even mobile games look fancy on this.

That's another price not factoring into console or pc prices. Is you need the monitor that can do what the PC will attempt to do. And for me at this point I'm impressed with my small 1440p oled but in stores for big screens I only see 8k oled as a real upgrade. I've already had projectors an 4k before so I know that is a personal thing. But to me I'm not seeing big advancements in gameplay which would be the other major driving factor.

I personally stopped playing new stuff for years during the 3d transition ; kinda been waiting on holographic technology since the 80s time traveler game. I don't know if a VR headset is really the answer to the next leap in gaming. And I was expecting android to conqure the market but they stick to 80s handheld tiger electronic Nintendo watch type games. Currently my android crushes my current craptop
