decent price, $750-800 would be a great price. That $2300 list price is silly. BestBuy currently has it for $1080

Hmm. I'm not sure where it got the 2300 from. Pretty sure I entered 1080 when I posted it.

eBay and BestBuy orginal pricing. Wild marketing tactics. Funny how Hisense and TCL will take advantage as a value brand. Quality is amazing. TCL is trash.

I've been tracking prices for this specific model and size closely over the past few weeks. This is close to the lowest price since the TV was released. Free returns make this a safe buy.

Agree, I had been watching as well. Was considering this TV over the tcl qm8k based on this comparison, where I thought it was pretty close:

Would have gotten it if I hadnt already bit on the g5 partner deal where I'm hoping returning the soundbar n speaker gets me close to 1k.

It's probably the introduction price when the model was first released which is usually March !

I was debating between the Hisense and TCL. Ultimately I decided on the Hisense for the slightly better viewing angle, and better brightness. I want the picture to look spectacular and vibrant which is what I think is missing from OLEDs. We have a S90F and I wasn't impressed with the picture.

Been having nothing but trouble the the Hisense U7G. They can't get their software right. The OS crashes frequently.

Going to go try TCL this time around.

Agree, I could not not do OLED... Too dark! Returned 2 of them. Mini LED for me.

Is partner store giving partial refunds when parts of the package get returned now ? Source of info? Thanks!

ETA: the G5 and the U8 are not remotely similar in picture quality. While the U8 is a very good tv (I have the 100-inch in my living room temporarily) the PQ isn't anywhere near near as good as even my 65G4.

My 65 U8H has been great for the most part. I only use the TVs built in apps for all my streaming services. I may experience slowness or a hung app once every 3-4 months. Rebooting solves the issue.

Yep, that's why I'm keeping the G5. And yes, there are a few folks who posted getting refunds for returning the bundled items on the partner store deals. Here's my math on what that might work out based on those reports:

For those that don't want to deal with eBay or shipping risks, etc., the 75" unit (75U8QG) is currently on sale for $1499 at BBuy. $140 is a pretty small delta for walk-in-and-buy price:

I'm behind in my trade rag reading - anyone know about/when the 2026 or successor model is due, and any "wow" features one might care about?
I hear manufacturers doing an about-face on mini-LEDs, haven't dug into the "why". Still very tempted to get this model, although the wife, God bless her, OK'd 100". I'm a lucky man.
