If you don't mind waiting 60 days to get it unlocked, and are ok with 128GB storage instead of 256GB as in this one - Straight talk has it for "free" when you sign up with a 1 month $55 plan, You will need to extend for a 2nd month on any plan (lowest appears to be $35). See this slickdeal

Yea, agreed. I've been rocking this phone for a while and it is solid. Pen, micro SD, headphone jack, great screen, very good battery life, and a decent camera. It is a no brainer for a good daily driver that doesnt weigh you down.

Solid mid-range phone for a good price. It even has a microSD card slot, and a headphone jack too. If I needed one, this would surely be a contender.

Does anyone know if these straight talk phones should work fine with a Red Pocket GSMA sim once unlocked? The gsma uses at&t towers.

I had a link to a list a few years ago of phone models that should work fine on at&t, and now I can't find it.

Is this considered a slick deal or should I wait just a bit? I want one, but I recall the previous year model was 250 when it's on sale.
The slick deal was the 2024 model that was $152 on amazon resale yesterday. The biggest benefit of the 2025 model is more updates, official IP68 waterproofing, and slightly faster processor (both are Snapdragon). Camera is roughly the same. The 2025 model has Gorilla Glass 3 where the 2024 I think uses regular glass so you should definitely not use the 2024 one without a glass screen protector.

Otherwise I'd do the Straight Talk deal and wait 2 months for it to unlock to use on whatever network you want for $90.

Obviously the biggest benefit of the unlocked model is 256GB vs 128GB if that matters. But these Moto phones support MicroSD card so your photos can go on the SD card.

edit: The Amazon Resale deal is still available for the 2024 Model.

Go to Other Sellers and Sold by Amazon Resale. Should be $179 and show "Save 15% at checkout Terms" making it $152 + tax.

AT&T whitelist is here - https://www.att.com/scmsassets/su...etwork.pdf.

Shows the generic Moto g stylus 2025 (model XT2517-1) ; doesn't list the TF variant (XT2517V). Looking at the earlier years - only the 2022 TF model (XT2215DL) is shown, the 2023 and 2024 don't appear to be on the whitelist.

Thank you for that! My current phone can keep chugging along and is supported thru mid-2027, I'll prob just need to buy a battery (pixel 6a) unless another option I like as well or better comes along for about $100 or less. That's what Google paid me for screwing up their batteries, lol, but mine is still doing ok for now.

I'm currently using a Pixel 6a and thinking about switching things up. I've been looking at the Moto G Stylus 2025 (256GB unlocked) and the Motorola Razr 2024 (~$350).
I don't really do anything heavy on my phone, so I'm mainly curious how these two compare as daily drivers especially in terms of software updates, reliability, and overall experience.
Would the Razr 2024 be missing a year of updates compared to the 2025 G Stylus? The $50 price difference isn't a big deal; I just thought the Razr might be something fun and different to try. Or should I stick with the Pixel line for the longer (5 year) update support?

For my Dad the Stylus is perfect. The pointer just works for him. He has a '21 phone it's great. No bells and whistles.

This is a nice deal. The 2024 version (256GB) at $175.99 (with bundled sim) is a better deal IMHO.

You can choose to activate with Verizon and get this $199. You can then cancel the line once you receive the phone.

Step by step directions are here
