I've learned that if plans dont mention unlimited data, then they are hard capped. This plan only mentions unlimited talk/text.

Sort of. Ultra was the parent company of Mint, before T-Mobile bought both. So technically Ultra is now a flanker brand of T-Mobile (owned directly), rather than an MVNO. Functionally, it's still easiest to think of them as an MVNO.

After you activated with a new number, you cannot port your number anymore, and the process cannot be reverse. I tried and wasted a 3m plan.

someone tell me if I will be able to activate it and port my number a few month later without wasting the paid term?

Couldn't tell from their website but may have just missed it - is data capped at 4GB, or does it just throttle after that?
Mint and ultra suck ..they capped you at 4gb . No data at all

Can anyone confirm if roaming worked in canada? I know it says talk/text no data or i guess they give you 1 day pass only.

To make it sweater, Google "ultra mobile referral" and visit r e d d i t and get one of the latest codes. This should help with the next renewal and add yours to the list

Since this MVNO is owned by T-Mobile. That would mean I cannot port in from T-Mobile, correct?

Do not fall for it, they will back after one year with full price, too risky and sneaky to mess with them.

Not sure if you have prepaid or post paid. I had a prepaid T-Mobile account (PAYGO $3/mo. plan). I set up the Transfer PIN on T-Mobile website and even changed my name on the old account to match new Ultra exactly. Ported 5 minutes later, my number was activated on Ultra and I could call out.

huh?

u know this is for 1 year
u know the price will be normal price after 1 year

what is the sneaky part?

take responsibility for ur deal

pay attention to details

if u fail, it is on you. not the company u deal with.

for this deal and any other in life.

So if we need to change to another provider after 1 year we need to make it before renewal. Otherwise they will take the money for the full year. Right? What happen if after renewal (eg: 1 month after) I transfer my number to another provider. Can we get the partial refund of the 11month remaining?

I am in market looking for a plan and came across this thread. It's good until you see the recovery fee of $15. I am on Infimobile for last 11 months and just confirmed with customer care that I can renew my 5GB plan for $75 and tax. That turns out to be better deal imo. Now Infimobile has 2500 minutes and 2500 texts limit. So, that's the only caveat.
