Animal studies have shown that high doses of Red 40 can cause cancer, but there is no evidence that this applies to the levels consumed in food.

Mostly just water. If you have a really bad issue where you need to limit sugar intake mabe just skip the juice. There are all kinds of supplements out their that will give the same benefit and more that cranberry does. This and every low sugar fruit DRINK is just water with half or less of the concentrate. Which mean even less of the benefits. If you want the juice look for unsweetend or no sugar added then read the lable to make sure they didn't just through in a mess of grape or apple or pear concentrate to sweeten it and say no sugar which is exactly what those concentrates are. I am not attacking anyone on here or the poster of this deal. I am pissed at the manufacturer who has figure out that they can give you less of a product and charge the same price just by adding the word DIET! Buy the unsweetend and cut it with water your self and compare the taste.

Most things out there only have 15-20 mg of red 40 per serving and a 200lb person can consume 640mg daily with no measurable side effects. This is based on every study ever done including possible ADHD or Cancer. The worse offender is redvelvet cake mix about 80mg per serving. So you could eat 8 piecies of redvelvet cake every day and not exceed the recomended daily intake of red 40. At that rate of consumption of cake I think the sugar alone would make you seem like you have ADHD and give you a heart condition and sugar consumption has been directly linked to increased cancers of all types. but on average about 32 servings of things with red 40 in it is considered safe every day. How much junk food are you consuming to get 32 servings in a day? Cured meats, candy, nacho chips, sugary beverages? I don't think the problem is as much with the dye as it is with the diet. That being said eat it or don't I am not telling you what to do. But the only thing we have in this world that can help us make the right decisions is science. Scientific facts peer reviewed studies this is the only thing you can trust and with out those facts and documents to back it up you are opening yourself up to believeing the person who screams witch because they got rejected by a girl.

I buy sugar free powder mix (Welch's or Sunkist) and reuse the container. Toss the container out about once a year or two.

i usually buy a bag of cranberries, boil them in a gallon of water, then strain the juice right into the bottle. all natural.
