I'm an AV dweeb so a total Radeon fan boy, but do their cards like this compete with NVidia as far as gaming goes?

I purchased the ASRock Steel Legend 9070 XT when it was on sale at New Egg for $620. Its not 100% white, but at $620, I feel its a better value than the 9070 at $580. At the time I could have gotten the all black ASRock Challenger 9070 XT for $600, but I was willing to pay the $20 "tax" for a white card.

Yeah the extra "tax" isn't bad if you want that white color, I've been tempted to get the asrock XT's but I hear the company has bad customer service if any of your parts break at some point, while from a review I read said xfx swift has life time warranty or something

Yes, this card is comparable to the NVidia 5070 but for about around $100 less depending on what sales you can find for each card.

The 9070 XT is comparable to the 5070 Ti but for around $130 to $140 less.

For both cards I believe the the NVidia has an edge when it comes to Ray Tracing performance.

Xfx is probably one of the better GPU brands since EVGA stopped selling cards. I've been gaming since the mid 1990's and I've never had a GPU fail. That even includes O/C'ing my 3 EVGA cards, GTX970, RTX1070 and RTX3070, all of which were used for mining Ethereum. My son is still using the RTX1070 in my old i5-2500k PC.

Yeah it's most likely not going to fail but with the recent reports of asrock mobo frying CPUs and sapphire XTs gpus burning (atleast only a few) it doesn't seem promising, and I feel like I have bad luck lol

I purchased a PowerColor RX 9070 XT Hellhound on launch date and have been living in. When it comes to the non-XT version, it has been a pretty hard sell when you can get the XT model for only $50 more for 10% better performance. If the vanilla model can get down to the $500 price range I think it will be an easy recommend and a much better seller.
