Micro-USB charging port. Hard pass...

Huh... Crazy seeing the experiences about low quality. I have had, and still use, mine since 2017. The rubber on the thumbpad has worn through, but the button is still usable. I use mine daily for work and my battery still lasts at least 2 months. I'm wondering if these being sold were produced at a different factory or with different process. I have dropped mine quite a number of times now. I wipe it down ooccasionally to prevent my natural oils from deteriorating the plastics and rubbers. The micro-USB has aged in general, but I'm still in love with this mouse. Quite unfortunate that others haven't had a good experience.

Micro USB and the battery life sucks. I have it both at home and work and I am sick of charging it all the time.

The buttons are very cheap plastic and seemed to be designed to wear out pretty fast I was very disappointed.

Waiting for the 3S to get down to this price or lower. I purchased my 2S back in 2019 through Best Buy on Google Express for less than this at $40... I know, I know, inflation 🙄🤷🏽 ♂️.

I have the 2s and my wife has the 3s. While I agree the micro-usb is annoying, the battery life is 2-4 weeks depending on use (which is fine imo).

My 2s has fewer connectivity issues compared to the 3s, no clue if that's systemic or luck of the draw.

The reason to absolutely pass on the 2s though is the sound difference in clicking and spinning and wheel. The 3s is silent and I'd imagine the 4s is as well, but no clue, as I'm waiting for the 3s to come down in price a bit more to upgrade my own.

Not a bad price, but if you can afford it, I'd wait and spend a few more bucks for the 3s which will no doubt get discounted for BF. The 4 is on sale now for $90 and IMO not worth upgrading from the 3s, but the quiet clicks and USB-C on the 3s are huge upgrades from the 2s.

Same, the cheap button wear out about 2 years for me even on 3S. Left click where I used most. Take some soldering skill to replace a better button and it will never break.

Mine has been fine for years but I would only use in the office. At home it's way too loud. And the micro usb sucks but my keyboard at work is also micro usb so it's fine. I wouldn't recommend until it gets to $30 or so.

For awareness, this is the Bluetooth version of the MX Master 2s which does not come with the unifying receiver but you can buy one separately. I bought my 2s many years ago and it is still going strong. However, just for kicks, I replaced the internal 500 mAh battery with a 850 mAh one that I salvaged from a vaping device found on the street and soldered on a tiny BMS with thermistor and a JST ZH three wire connector that I crimped in the correct configuration. Now I get almost 3M of use-time before I need to recharge. Also, I don't mind the micro USB and just hook it up to my PC USB port about 4 times a year for a few hours. Since I really like this mouse and it fits my hand perfectly, I even bought a backup for about $70 and a spare unifying receiver recently. Wish I would have waited for this deal as it is about $20 less than what I paid. Before you give a thumbs down, I admit this is not the typical use case but it shows that if you like to tinker with your electronics, there are ways to improve them and make them fit your needs. Notably, there are videos out there showing different options of upgrading the micro USB port to USB-C eg. with a breakout board.

I have the 3s and tried the 2s recently when Walmart clearance them out at 22 (and 45 for the 3s). I like both, but honestly the polling rate is incredibly disappointing. Not sure I understand why we have 4k+ DPI sensor but only sending movement data at 125 hz. Even the new 4s is only 125hz. This probably won't matter to you if you have a lower end screen, but high refresh screens are becoming so common. My screen refreshes faster than my mouse and it causes extremely weirdly noticeable lag when moving.

Otherwise I am absolutely in love with these mice and the thumb button+side scroll is the best thing I've ever had on a mouse lol.

Battery life is relative - I get a few weeks of charge time on my 2S that I have had for 4 or 5 years and I am on my computer typically 10 hours a day (work/play). Not sure what the dig at MicroUSB is as this mouse came out in like 2016 or 2017 when that was the norm.

I suppose experiences vary and the QC on the mice. Mine is going strong and no issues for 4 or 5 years - my absolute favorite mouse (even over the 3S.)

I've had the 2s and the 3s and I agree with what Doctor Awesome. The 2S felt the best ergonomically and click wise, (3s has this weird soft click thing I had on the two models I tried) although the 3S is not that far off. I use the 3s now because my dog bit my 2S and the 3S has usb C. However, I would get whichever you can as cheap as possible. The 3s was on sale on slick deals yesterday for $69, a year ago I had gotten it direct from Logitech for 72.24 and it came with a free case and a complimentary subscription for adobe creative cloud. The Logitech mx master 2S was $23 this past October. A Logitech Mx Master 2S in 2025 for $49 is an OK deal, but I wouldn't jump on it.

Unless you REALLY need the mouse soon, I wouldn't jump on this.
