WARNING - Check the picture that's what I got for my AirPods Pro from Walmart. Their delivery people are thieves. Walmart would not refund because the box was "delivered" to my door! $169 + tax for some ripped up Apple cardboard! PLEASE STAY THE HELL AWAY!!!
AirPods Pro 2 stands out as a strong upgrade for Apple users who want better noise cancelling, USB C charging, volume control, conversation awareness, and especially call quality. The community also points to solid real world performance, with several confirming the earbuds are legit and work as expected, and some stacking price matches or card offers to cut the cost further. The main caveat is availability, since the model is being discontinued and the best prices have sold out quickly. A good fit if you want Apple integration and can still find a pair at the right price.
people upgrading from AirPods Pro 1 because they want USB-C plus stronger ANC and conversation awareness, and they're okay buying now since Pro 2 is being discontinued and waiting could mean less availability.
buyers who care about call quality because commenters say AirPods cancel unwanted noise and have a superior microphone for calls even if they prefer other brands for music/bass.
shoppers who already have AirPods Pro 1 and only want to upgrade to get away from Lightning, since one commenter said that's the only reason they'd consider Pro 2.
people who want a safer purchase experience than marketplace/third-party listings because commenters warn there are many fakes on Facebook Marketplace/OfferUp and that it's easy to resell counterfeit Apple products.
buyers who can verify authenticity and use a return window, since commenters reported picking up in-store as legit and noted there's a return window if anything is wrong.
people planning to buy through Walmart delivery because multiple commenters reported ripped or resealed boxes and missing earbuds, plus issues getting refunds when the package was marked delivered.
people who are mainly chasing the newest performance improvements, because commenters say AirPods Pro 3 has better ANC/transparency and is more comfortable for many, while Pro 2 is still the previous generation.
buyers who already have AirPods Pro 1 and expect a noticeable upgrade, because one commenter said switching to Pro 2 made little to no difference and they returned them.
shoppers who are trying to get the best value by buying used locally, because commenters say Facebook Marketplace/OfferUp listings are often counterfeit and easy to scam with fake Apple products.
The upgrade adds USB-C, stronger ANC, volume control, and Conversation Awareness, and it also moves you off Lightning. If your Pro 1 battery is still fine, the improvement may feel small; if you want the newer features or need to replace aging batteries, Pro 2 is the practical step.
AirPods Pro 3 reportedly have better ANC and transparency and are more comfortable for many people. AirPods Pro 2 are still considered very decent, and the main tradeoff is paying less now versus waiting for a bigger discount on the newer model.
The Best Buy listing discussed here is open-box, while the earlier $100 and $110 prices were described as open-box and new, respectively. If you want new units, verify the listing details before buying.
Best Buy does price match, and chat with an agent is the suggested route. If the item is already sold out, the match may be harder to get, so placing a second order while the price is live can help.
An Amex card coupon for 20% off up to $25 can stack with the deal. Staples can also price match, which can be useful if you want to use points or other store credit.
Seriously, I cannot believe how "cheap" these are. Got mine in the mail, recorded myself opening the box and verifying they were real just in case and everything worked out. Didn't even have to sign-up for Walmart+.
I did pick up at my store but they are legit. You have return window if anything
I am still using airpods pro 1. I bought these maybe 3 years ago or 2 years go? I forget but returned them because it had no difference compared to pro 1s. If you have a pro 1 just keep using it until battery dies out.
I thought about these too but also own the pro 1. The only reason I would consider upgrading is because the pro 1 are the only thing I have left using lightning. First world problem.
Figured with the return window to 1/31/26 this was a no brainer. Added apple care online and delivered 2 pairs same day to my house from local store. If someone runs some crazy BF or Cyber Monday sale I will simply return these but I won't be getting up early or waiting in any lines so this seems to be a good deal. I did the Meijer Airpod Pro gen1 deal years ago for like $150, so even if I sell those for $50 online I still feel I come out way ahead.
gee, I did buy the airpod 4 for 85 dollars a few days ago on walmart, my first airpod.
I see everybody in here raving about the airpod 2 pro ... I'm not sure if I should also buy this airpod 2 pro too, ... the airpod 4 works for me ... EDUCATE ME.

It's happened to me with Amazon delivery a few years ago.

I loved my app1 but battery life was diminished and they started to develop a crackling sound. Dumped them for soundcore liberty 4 pros and never looked back. They do pretty much everything the AirPod pros do for much less, better battery life, better sound tuning and come in different colors. They're just not as good with ANC/transparency but they're pretty close. There was a recent firmware update and I think the ANC/Transparency actually got better. That being said I was looking for a deal on the AirPods Pro 2 because Apple has done a ton of integration updates that non Apple earbuds don't utilize. I just picked up a set of AirPods Pro 2 and because they're so close to the Soundcores im not sure I'll be keeping them.
I've watched a ton of comparison videos. The biggest difference I've seen is better ANC and transparency mode on the 3's and for most people it's more comfortable. Even the die hard Apple fans are saying you'll be fine if you stick with the AirPods Pro 2 but overall the 3's are better
Walmart has Apple AirPods Pro 2, Wireless Earbuds, Active Noise Cancellation, Hearing Aid Feature with charging case for $139. Plus free shipping or pickup.

You know why airpods are expensive? You buy it for call quality. They cancel out unwanted noise and their microphone is superior. I use a Samsung for music. I like the bass on Samsung much better than Airpods.
But nothing beats call quality of Airpods

We just lost both my Liberty 4 Pros and my wife's original AirPod Pros to the washing machine. My kids Airpod 4s survived the washing machine I think cause the case is tighter. Anker offered a full refund when I wrote a review complaining that they died. Try that with Apple. 😆
