@rubylu07, Did you purchase those from Walmart store or online? And for those 2 phones in one account did you receive total $1000 or $500 eGift card?
I purchased from local Walmart yesterday. I got one 16pm first in the morning, and want 256g pro as second one. Since that Walmart didn't have 256g pro available, I went to second Walmart in the afternoon, they don't have 256g pro also. I then got 2nd pm from second Walmart, and used previous 500 gc. Got second $500 gc right away. Both iPhones are under one account

Do you need to have Walmart+ to get this deal now?
I don't have Walmart+ account, and had NO ISSUE getting this deal. In fact, they never asked about my Walmart account (+ or not) in store.

Hi, How you paid off total amount? Is it at Walmart store or ATT online?
Pay some down payment at Walmart ($900 on first one, 1052 on second one) , then pay off at ATT web account

1) purchased at local Walmart ; 2) 2 iPhones under one account; 3) $1000gc, but I used first $500 gc on second phone, since I purchased at different Walmart stores. BTW, I was told by the Walmart staff, if I used this gc, I couldn't return the phone to Walmart, even in 14 days

Thanks, my current number is on spectrum, I want to continue it with new phone and cancel ATT contacts. In this case, I can transfer my old number to this new phone or should first disconnect ATT service? Want to make sure my new phone will not become a brick. Thanks
Once the phone is unlocked you will remain so, you can just cancel ATT line now. You can move your spectrum number on that phone anytime

How did you guy cancel the line w/ ATT? Did it take a lot of convincing? What reason seems to work best?
Also, after cancelling, is it best to just let the bill generate then contact them to prorate?

So I bought two phones under one social and e-mail. Looks like the social and email I used last year would not work hence had to use P2 info. When do we create a verizon account? Can I do so now? just may have to use the same e-mail ID I used while ordering. Not received any e-mail from verizon yet, only from walmart. I did not note down the phone numbers associated with the account. same mistake I did last year too.

Right now I was charged $87.92 for activation and first month, if I cancel the line all of that should get refunded and I would just pay the full phone price and then receive $500 walmart giftcard.

Some people are saying here we have to pay taxed on walmart giftcard, I dont understand that.

My experience today:
- the Walmart rep initially told me that a price chart sent to them with all the models and carriers showed the 16 Pro being $799, but the system shows $24.98x36=$899.28. Couldn't do anything but to go with what the system has. I guess they jacked up the price for the promotion.
- lowest plan available was Value Plus VL $60.99.
- initially forgot to tell him I wanted to down pay, but I remembered in time before he submitted the order. He had to delete and re-add the device, and the screen to enter down pay showed up. Lesson: DON'T FORGET to keep telling them that you want to down pay, so they don't miss this screen! Esp. if you're doing Verizon.
- that page actually showed the max I could down pay is $863. I ended up paying $860 on CC, leaving $39.
- Once the payment was processed, I received email for the $500 Walmart eGC within 2 min!

- Got home and finished setting up the ATT account. Needed to log out and back in for the line to show up
- Once it showed up, the Payments page has "Your installment plans". Clicked into that and paid off the remainder with CC. No need to fight with store rep! Because of this, for ATT it's unnecessary to down pay at Walmart, esp if you have CC that gives more points for telecom.
- initially encountered issue with iPhone's quick eSIM transfer, as the new phone didn't pickup the transfer request from the old unlocked iPhone. This was solved by setting the device passcode on the new phone.
- then followed the rest of the instruction from @gadgetNerd and unlocked without issue. New phone now has "No SIM restrictions". As @gadgetNerd mentioned, I only waited until after 1am to do the unlock, not 24 hrs after full device payoff.

Time to think about if I want to do this again, or wait for Event 2 :-P

I'll deal with cancelling the line tomorrow or so, and fight for bill credit later.
in your esim swap, did it route to your AT&T account to confirm esim swap request?

Saying bad reception at home is a valid reason. They will try to cancel the line at the end of the billing cycle but you have to make them cancel it immediately. See wiki of this thread for more details https://slickdeals.net/f/17327499

No, not at all. It was all done through iPhone's quick esim transfer.
