you can buy bronze plan - $35 on the last day from walmart.com and select Direct Top Up option and provide phone number.
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Straig...om=/search

Straight Talk has a "Reserve" system:

you can add a plan to your account before your current service ends. Straight Talk Extras+1
Plans you add to the Reserve are automatically applied on your Service End Date.

What Happens If You "Activate Now" Instead of Reserving

If you choose to not reserve but instead apply the new plan immediately, Straight Talk warns: you will lose any remaining days on your current plan.

Scenario ("$55 plan ends Dec 17, 2025; you want to add a $35 plan early for the second month")

If you add the $35 plan now and put it in Reserve, it will not start immediately. Instead, it will wait and begin on Dec 17, 2025, when your current $55 plan ends.
It won't overlap or "stack" service days unless you choose to activate the plan immediately (which is risky because you'll lose remaining days).

How much is your tracfone plan? Will it still unlock after 2 months?
I bought the two phones from Tracfone that had the minutes with them and "Harvested" them onto my plan. https://slickdeals.net/f/18803365-new-qvc-customers-64gb-tracfone-moto-g-play-2024-1yr-plan-1500-talk-text-data-24-free-shipping?src=category_page

Doesn't the phone already come with 1 month of service?
No, you need to pick the $55 plan (or higher) to get the $199 price. Rep said I can buy the $45 one initially but she was wrong.

Has anyone tested the cheap $10 plan for month #2?
What is the $10 plan called? do you have a link to that? I dont see it on ST site. The lowest I see is Bronze 10GB for $35 per month.

I plan to buy the phone at $299 online and just add the cheapest plan for 2 months waiting to unlock. Also, a certain cashback site is giving 14% back so that helps.

If I already have a Total Wireless Plan/Number, could I activate that on the 2nd eSim and skip the 2nd month on ST? Will it still unlock after 2 months?

Got the deal Walmart SW Virginia. Around $270+ including taxes. Took less than 10 minutes; very smooth. Thanks OP!

3 closest stores showed in stock. First one they said they only had AT&T phones, next store had it but was not an "activation store". Third store said I was the 3rd person today and got the last one.

Judging by the comments, I guess I'm the only one who knows how to unlock it right when I get home. No reason to wait 60 days. Hmm strange.
Yes you are. Please share. Confused

Nope, has to be on ST for 2 months. Phone doesn't even work on Total, at least I couldn't get it activated using the 2nd IMEI.

Total has a $10. talk/text (unpublished) plan but ST does not.

Got two this morning from my local store, didn't have to wait, the associate told me l had to get a contract plan at first, until l showed them the walmart website advertising it.

The first phone was scanned it at the $55 plan, but the 2nd phone came in on a $40 plan, as she linked the phones to one account.

E-sim only on these phones, in the past they just scanned the barcode on the back of the phone box and l didn't have to open them in the store.

This time, opened both phones in store, and activated both while there.
came out to $285.78 with tax for the first phone, and $269.73 for the second phone with the cheaper plan.

The associate said l'd get an e-mail from straight talk, and they'd unlocked after 30 days of service. (Guessing she is wrong based on this thread, and no e-mail, so probably typo'd my e-mail)

Upgrading my wifes phone from an Iphone 11, and mine from a 12 Mini with battery issues.

Did the same thing last year for my kids phones to get them upgraded to 13's at the time.

Anyone else had to open them in store? Hadn't had that situation before, guessing due to e-sim?
I picked up two this afternoon for my kids for Christmas, replacing their iPhone 12s. Basically had the same experience as you, they only had to open the first one though to setup the account, the second one remained sealed.
I didn't get an email either, hopefully I can access the account using the phone number to authenticate myself.
I plan on dropping down the the cheapest plan for the second month. Sounds like there's a $10/month plan, I'll look into that.

Interesting, well for me the rep didn't even give me phone# nor other details except the iPhone and 1 month gold unlimited $55 prepaid plan card.

Sure seems that as the "free" (case of Total Wireless) and the $199 phones here they are flying. I would imagine Apple is taking note of that as well.
