you can buy bronze plan - $35 on the last day from walmart.com and select Direct Top Up option and provide phone number.
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Straig...om=/search

Straight Talk has a "Reserve" system:

you can add a plan to your account before your current service ends. Straight Talk Extras+1
Plans you add to the Reserve are automatically applied on your Service End Date.

What Happens If You "Activate Now" Instead of Reserving

If you choose to not reserve but instead apply the new plan immediately, Straight Talk warns: you will lose any remaining days on your current plan.

Scenario ("$55 plan ends Dec 17, 2025; you want to add a $35 plan early for the second month")

If you add the $35 plan now and put it in Reserve, it will not start immediately. Instead, it will wait and begin on Dec 17, 2025, when your current $55 plan ends.
It won't overlap or "stack" service days unless you choose to activate the plan immediately (which is risky because you'll lose remaining days).

I went to the Walmart and they had this phone on stock but no one can activate. The phone rings for $299.99 and they wouldn't give me the black friday discount either.

Any Walmart employee that knows how to use the WARP at the cash register at the electronic dept can check out for you. Make sure they scan the activation barcode on the box before you pay, else the phone won't activate. You don't have to wait for those black-shirt, third-party mobile employees to come to work to check out the phone for you unless it's a postpaid phone where they have log in and key in their number.
what is WARP? can you not use that.... no one knows what that means

What about month 2 service cost? So it will be $300+ in total with taxes after 2 months of service. Worth it for an unlocked 16e?
Apple sells this phone for $599.99.

Could you get a new number? It would cost the same as keeping a Safelink number if you pay $0 for Safelink.

I'm the one that posted about the $10 plan because I had used it last year when I bought a Moto Razr from them. I'm not really sure they still offer it regardless of what the rep said. Wlould not be the frist time a Verizon Value Brand rep said something that wasn't true. When I used it last year it was an add on that I used for the second month. It could not be used for activation.
What did the $10 plan have, in terms of minutes, texts, and data?

Think phone needs to be on for it to activate. Am not sure but if it doesn't activate, it will never be unlocked.
Not true at all.

Nothing anyone here can do.
Deal terms say it has to be activated in the store & if there's no rep (or trained staff) it can't be done. It's a poor system and also happened 2 yrs ago when they had cheap iphone SE3's - even after lots of complaints they haven't changed a thing.

They had a Moto Razr 2024 last year for $70 on a similar deal. There was no one at the local store to activate then so you had to pay $199 if you wanted one. That's why I did the research leaning about the WARP and that only the supernenters would have the 3rd party personel to to this. But not all of them do.

Can I just buy this phone for $299 online and then get that $10 plan for 2 months and will that be able to unlock the phone then?

Kinda crazy to me they would advertise this nationally when a huge number of stores don't offer in-store activation.

Tried two "supercenters" today, both had the phones in stock, neither offered in-store activation.

I also don't know why they don't just make it so if you scan the phone and a card for the phone plan it activates the deal to prevent this nonsense.

Seems like every store rep has their own policy. All my rep did was ring me up for the phone and put my details in the ST system, and I had to activate at home and could only do it by turning on the phone. Couldn't set up my online acct first because she used her own email for it (no idea why!) and I had to waste another 30 min chatting with ST to correct.
