you can buy bronze plan - $35 on the last day from walmart.com and select Direct Top Up option and provide phone number.
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Straig...om=/search

Straight Talk has a "Reserve" system:

you can add a plan to your account before your current service ends. Straight Talk Extras+1
Plans you add to the Reserve are automatically applied on your Service End Date.

What Happens If You "Activate Now" Instead of Reserving

If you choose to not reserve but instead apply the new plan immediately, Straight Talk warns: you will lose any remaining days on your current plan.

Scenario ("$55 plan ends Dec 17, 2025; you want to add a $35 plan early for the second month")

If you add the $35 plan now and put it in Reserve, it will not start immediately. Instead, it will wait and begin on Dec 17, 2025, when your current $55 plan ends.
It won't overlap or "stack" service days unless you choose to activate the plan immediately (which is risky because you'll lose remaining days).

I bought the deal, went home and I noticed I have an email from straight talk that says verify your email address, but then when I click it verify, it says something to the effect of can't verify this email at this time. And then when I go to straight talk website to log in it says "The email address you provided is not associated with any account in our records." Is that normal? Then why did I get an email from ST soon after completing my in store purchase saying confirm my email address...? the rep seemed like he knew what he was doing and I walked out with $199 phone plus the $55 plan on my receipt, did he do something wrong or is this normal? I'm not sure what my next steps should be...
Chat on ST site and they should hopefully fix for you.

Hmm, ok but then what was the point of him asking me for my mailing address and email etc? Also why did I receive a confirm my email link already then?

That's just the way it works. If you had a physical sim it would show "TF" for ST & TW too.
mine shows TFW even though ST website shows everything ST. I haven't update to iOS 26 yet, still on iOS18.

I love my 13 mini, the pricing on this makes it hard to ignore, as my mini is worth just a bit less than this. Not sure why I'm resisting, maybe I'm hoping Apple will release another mini sooner rather than later.

I just bought the $299 online price because I don't have time to go to Walmart.
Can I buy two months of the $35 bronze plan to satisfy the 60 days to unlock the device? Thank you.

In my case they scanned barcode 1 on the box, then barcode 2 on the box, then the barcode on the gold card plan. It did not change the price to $199. Stayed at $299. Not sure what she could have done different.
I had a store try it this way, same result. Voided the transaction and had them try scanning the gold card plan first, and then the barcodes on the phone box, same result.

I did finally manage to snag this deal on my 5th attempt after failing at 4 stores.

First 2 stores didn't offer in store activation.
Third store offered in-store activation, but didn't have any 16e for ST available.
Fourth store didn't offer in-store activation, so I attempted to have them scan both the phone and card (and then the card and phone) to see if that would trigger the POS system to drop the price. The person there even tried to have the manager just override the price, but that effort was rejected.

I was on my way to yet another store, when my GPS routed me there a way I wouldn't have gone myself. This put another store on the way, so I said F it and went ahead and stopped. This fifth store actually had signage in store for the deal, the phone in stock, and the third-party salesperson to activate it.The salesperson activated the phone in the WARP system, and then we went to the Walmart POS system to check out.

I did not buy a phone plan card - I asked the rep if I needed it and was told no, the first month was being added into the system during the activation process. Total cost was $254, so I rolled with it.

It's not $254 man... you did not include the tax. It's close to $300

I think tax with full price, not sale price.

I think my reply failed, so just adding it to the thread.

To clarify, my subtotal for phone ($199) and 1 month service ($55) was $254.

Final total w/ tax was $284.

Went to local WM and the lady can't process the application in WRAP system, She called ST and they don't know anything about.

The manager came over and said she will override the price to $199 from $299 with $55 card added for each phone. I took it now but wondering is anyone else in the same boat?

If i activate the phone, will it unlock after 60 days?
