you can buy bronze plan - $35 on the last day from walmart.com and select Direct Top Up option and provide phone number.
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Straig...om=/search

Straight Talk has a "Reserve" system:

you can add a plan to your account before your current service ends. Straight Talk Extras+1
Plans you add to the Reserve are automatically applied on your Service End Date.

What Happens If You "Activate Now" Instead of Reserving

If you choose to not reserve but instead apply the new plan immediately, Straight Talk warns: you will lose any remaining days on your current plan.

Scenario ("$55 plan ends Dec 17, 2025; you want to add a $35 plan early for the second month")

If you add the $35 plan now and put it in Reserve, it will not start immediately. Instead, it will wait and begin on Dec 17, 2025, when your current $55 plan ends.
It won't overlap or "stack" service days unless you choose to activate the plan immediately (which is risky because you'll lose remaining days).

I used the Straight Talk app to change my plan to the bronze $35 plan. Total was $37.67 and my dashboard now says to renew my plan by 1/12. I don't think there's a need to call anyone as it seemed to extend just fine.

So everyone's saying that you must get a straight talk store rep to activate this phone and sell it to you?

Or can a regular WM store employee try to ring you up/activate your phone using the WARP system at the electronics dept register?

They have to be able to activate phones in store. It's a crapshoot unless by some miracle you can get someone on the phone before wasting a trip.

in tx a town, it is $399 ... at Walmart
Ask Straight Talk associate in WM - electronics section and it will be done. WM cannot do this deal, only Straight Talk associate can do

Reserve is Exactly what I did. Had a Straight Talk CSR do it over the phone. You have to do the Reserve if doing it now or wait until the day the account shows need to purchase a plan. Otherwise activate now will wipe out your current plan. Excellent post and 100% correct.
Thank you

So I messed up and somehow managed to activate this phone with total wireless instead of straight talk. I guess I got the two deals confused. I don't understand why total wireless took the straight talk $55 phone card but they did.

that's actually fine as Total offers a talk/text plan (not published) for $10. You get it from a Total c/s rep with calling 611 for your second month. You might be able to do it for the first month. Did you pay $199. or $299. for the phone?

I spoke to ST guy yesterday and he has a separate counter with a Tab which is aST system. When he scanned , it showed 399 , then he scanned 55 talk time voucher which changed the price to 199+55+taxes = 284 which i paid . Hope this helps

I paid $199 for the phone. They had to get a manager to modify the price because they couldn't get it to come up on the register correctly.

first time the walmart rep scanned at electronic counter price showed as $299, so i pointed to the display which said $199 with the $55 gold unlimited plan. He had to rescan again the iPhone along with $55 plan to drop to $199. On the box there is a ST sticker which has bardcode 1 and barcode 2. Then need to be scanned in order so the phone get activated. I paid and left the store, last night activated the iphone through ST Website from home.
So my cashier did exactly this with the barcodes but the discount never came up. He even tried it multiple times but it never worked.

Those who have the phone, do you have any reviews? How do you like it?
