I've been a gamer for 43+ years and experienced stick drift once which was dual shock 4 new out of the box. I'm so glad that I am apparently blessed to not have to deal with this wide spread issue.

Now including free stick drift!

Just wanted to be the first to say it. Cool looking controller though.

I'm one of those gamers (casual) who has never experienced any Stick drift with any of the 4 XBox controllers I own, from the XBox One days. To give an idea of my usage, the rubber coating on the thumbsticks started disintegrating from 2 of my controllers.

And I also see MANY have this issue with almost every XBox controller they had.

I wonder if the way we use it is a big factor. I don't usually play FPS action shooters where the gameplay is intense and I've seen ppl crash the thumbsticks onto their limits in every direction, each second.

But I agree, if brands like 8BitDo, Anberic, Gamesir can all do Hall effect Joysticks for a fraction of the price, it's only fair that XBox controllers give us that too.

Love that Switch lets you use 3P controllers wirelessly but with XBox (and PS) they block 3P controllers from working wirelessly, locking you to their own overpriced substandard controllers.

I'm 43 and have been gaming since I could hold a controller. I too have never experienced stick drift done by me. I've bought used stuff with it. I honestly think most people that experience it are hard on the controllers slamming the sticks hard.

What are people doing where every controller they have eventually suffers from stick drift? I'm not saying these are the best made controllers but if every controller you have gets drift then it's less the controller and more you. Not to say this what happens to you just for people pooping on all of these Xbox controllers

Yeah man, I don't have any with stick drift either. I do tend to click on these deals and it always seems like they are full of rants about it. I was just surprised no one had got to this one yet so I made that comment. Who knew this would turn into the only anti-stick-drift thread ever on a controller deal. 😂

Mp shooter games... every single person ive played with has gone thru multiple controllers and/or just play with the drift as I now do...ive never thrown my controller once in my life...ive gone thru several MS ones and I have 2 non MS ones that never got the stick drift but are wired so I dont use them anymore

Bought this when it first released. And it's already drifting awful.

Man Xbox has the coolest looking controllers. This is the first time I've had stick drift but I got it on my 30th anniversary controller and my lunar shift controller. Bummed me out because series X is the least I've gamed on a console. Overall my series x experience has been sub par

So you skipped the N64 years then? I've never had an issue with drift in the modern era but every N64 control I ever encountered whether mine or at a friend's or cousin's house eventually went drifty.

Xbox has issues but their controllers are typically the best with not getting stick drift outside of the off brand hall effect controllers.
