Watch for open box Bestbuy sales..just picked up the Asus Strix G18 with rtx 5070 for $1650 last week...love it. It was listed as "good condition" but when I drove out and picked it up at the counter, it was virtually brand new...just didn't have the outer box but laptop itself was in fab condition. Ran all stress tests (3d benchmarch, cinemark) and no issues. Love it ......currently enjoying black ops, elden ring dlc and Battle field 6. RTX 5070 is a beast ...handles 1440p gaming at ease and the strix has nice thermals.

thanks for the heads up. hows the heat on the keyboard near the g and b keys?

No issues but I mainly use wireless controller for games but did test it using keyboard. I've set armoury crate to "turbo" fan mode so fans kick in all the time but cooling is spot on. The strix series are slightly thicker and heavy but this means better cooling as the side grill openings are large.

I've been playing Kingdom Come Deliverence 2 now for 2 days and the rtx 5070 handles it just fine at 1440p high settings. Nebula ips screen handles colors extremely well ..I don't miss the oled screen on my old asus zepyrus 16.
