If you've got the Amex $100 off Dell.com it's so worth it, even more so if you add some CB on top. Have had mine coming up on a year and I absolutely love it. Use it for both work and gaming and it looks amazing. I have setup things like hide the taskbar and use a dark wallpaper, though I don't think that's necessary. Some people have complained that text can look jagged, but it looks fine to me. Just make sure your PC actually turns off the screen and goes to sleep if you end up leaving it on all night, unlike mine for some reason...I still can't figure out why.
Mine crapped out recently. Exited a game and the screen went blank. The CS is great after asking me to take a bunch of photos with a post it with my name and the sn#. I had a replacement delivered in two days.
Wow, that CS story hit a nerve with me. Had a similar (great) experience many many years ago with a Samsung monitor. They sent me another one right away and I sent the broken one in the replacement's box. However recently I bought a LG OLED TV (G5) that started crapping out after 2 weeks and 2 days. Was expecting similar CS ... but no (not even close!). They refused to exchange the TV and took 17 days to dispatch a tech to (supposedly) replace the OLED panel, but ended up denying the warranty. I knew my next monitor (and TV) won't be LG, but wasn't sure which other brand I could trust. I guess Alienware is on the short list.

What's the rest of the story? They don't just deny the warranty without telling you why.
I've read the argument that ultrawide is silly with OLED panels because the perfect blacks means you may as well just get a 16:9. There will be no backlight glow for ultrawide content so why pay for less screen? Maybe a naive opinion.
1800R is a really mellow curve, I have a 34" LG with 800R and it's a bit too much for me (I have to sit too close and it takes up a lot of desk depth). Looking for a 34" somewhere in between.
I just got the LG a few days ago and the curve is pretty extreme. Considering returning it to BestBuy. The colors are video images look so nice. I have been doing amazing in BF6 since using this. I am torn on what to do. I assume BestBuy is going to hammer me on a restocking fee.

Not a gamer. Is this overkill for day to day use? Web browsing, videos, emails, Word, Excel.
It's not overkill. You WILL notice the difference in quality immediately. It'd be fun to add this one as a second monitor just to compare with your old one. The extra screen real estate is great. The only thing I would say about OLED for productivity is that fonts are not as sharp as they are on, say, an IPS panel. However, it's not something I usually notice anymore.
Is this good for productivity or better for gaming?
I bought one of these during one of the last BF sales. Check the cashback sites as some of them have pretty good targeted percentages (mine had 30% when I bought it but YMMV). Combined with the AMEX offer and its a no brainer.
I use it for both but it really shines for gaming and color work. Text is pretty clear and I'm in Excel for a lot of the time. No burn in over the year or so I have had it and it prompts to do a refresh every 4 hours to keep panel health at peak.

I love having two programs open side by side for productivity. No longer switching from tab to tab as 2 are open.
Works flawlessly for gaming.

That this isn't 4K can be helped by setting fonts to 125% in Windows to make sharper text.
I paid ~$1100 at release for it but looks like it's been new as low as $810. I like it mainly cause I both pc game and console game (PS5).

it won't. I made this mistake last time and then had to return and buy again!
