I'd be embarrassed to wear this in 2025.
It's not for everyone but good for people who want a durable watch that tells time. Enjoy your apple watch.

No, not new. Few years. I actually own a lot of gshocks since 2000s.
Even got this model last year, but returned it after couple days of use.
Just like I say - 51mm case, but the usefull display is 20mm. maybe 25mm, i did not measure, just look at the picture. Also no good apps to connect to phone, notifications suck, unintuitive software, extremely slow menus, and very low usability as a "smartwatch".
I dont know why would someone buy it these days since so many better alternatives available for same price or even less. Even garmin instinct 1 which is probably more than 5 years old now, will kill this watch in all parameters.

I haven't checked all of these points. But say someone were comparing it to other g-shocks for the limited reliable function. Not all the junk that can go wrong on a smartwatch. But again, maybe I don't know much about those either. But I'm guessing it's halfway between the simple phones and watches, and a few smart features. Beautiful MIPS display. There might be a market for it. Does it have all kinds of fancy usage of the heart rate stats, can it export? I doubt it. Not very intuitive or discrete. It's a large MIPS display with heartrate. Is it better than some of the garbage being put out years ago by sports watches brands? Actually yes.

I don't like the color but I remembered that you can get a different colored shroud and band. So wanted to remind others also that once you find a G-Shock (face) you like, look up the model to see if it has separate shroud colors. One watch can become 2-3...with not much effort.

Paid $141. Good deal just for the solar and Bluetooth features. Steps and heart rate and added bonuses.

The battery life with HR on is less than two days...that's sad comparing to my first gen Garmin Instinct, otherwise I would love to try a CASIO.

Who gives a f*ck about smart watch features? Not everyone needs a phone glued to their wrist.
