I was about to jump on this until I read the reviews. Kinda dangerous when they catch fire / explode.

1600 mAh (milliamp-hours). Not the same as 2400 mWh (milliwatt-hours). 1600 mAh x 1.5 volts = 2400 mWh

Possible fire hazard. Check the review photos.

Isn't there a new breed / new generation of those 1.5v Li-ion chargeable cells, where they would push constant 1.5v the same way as this one, but towards the end they would drop to ~1V to at least give your gadgets a chance to report "low battery" before the cells shut down?
Look for the "low voltage indicator" or "low battery reminder" feature.
I'm aware Coast ZITHION and the latest Xtar usb c chargeable batteries can mimic alkaline voltage curve. They are significantly more expensive than the other no-names on the market however.

Would this be good to power a Canon Speedlight Flash?
Yes as it holds the voltage for longer so in theory your recycle time will not get longer. I'm not sure of this brand, but for the price it's a good entry to test.

Not a recommended use case. These batteries provide 1.5v constant until depleted. Meaning that you will get no low battery warning. Ok for some devices, not ok for things like smoke detectors, or locks, unless you have your keys handy.
I thought about that. I can always get in through the garage though, so not too worried about it.

Got mine today. They delivered low capacity (600mwa) AAA batteries instead of AA, and the listing has been changed to the Micro-USB version, so if I try to exchange them I won't get a USB-C item. I would consider keeping them, but they're so low capacity. Most similar items are advertised at double the capacity.

Seems like they dumped product with a bait and switch. Super shady.

Yup also got AAA batteries, interestingly the label on the box actually listed them as AA batteries.

Why would you need subscribe and save for rechargeable batteries? Seems like a red flag as to their durability.
just to get extra discount.😉 (sub and cancel after first purchase)
