Setup your own youtube channel and post up so we can critique you. He's a humble dude that does a lot of free testing to steer us away from junk. And if you were smart enough, you could even just take the transcript that is literarlly attached to any youtube and have your AI agent provide you with a summary or answer whatever question you wanted.

Retevis RT85 Handheld Ham Radio for $26 after 10% off is much better. Radio is 5 watts and can be unlocked to broadcast on any frequency in the 2 meter bands.

Any link? Does staff happen to have a SD-only discount code by any chance?

Heads up -- Retivis supports USB A-to-C charging....not the more common USB C-to-C charging that literally everything else uses today.

I'm sure there's some glorified technical reason why USB standards are designed that way or that this is by design or whatever. It doesn't change the fact that I need to carry yet another cable to charge these. For all intensive porpoises, it might as well be a propriety standard since literally everything else is USB-C in the year of our gourd, 2015.

Oh, wait. It's actually 2025? Ten years later? What gives Retivis???!?

I've run into this with other generic chinese branded electronics on amazon before like headlamps and heated socks, if you don't use the specific charging cable provided it won't work.

I can't stand listening to him, he sounds like Kermit. And he has no vocal inflection control -- his pitch increases the longer he talks, like he's trying to squeeze as much air out as he can muster.

As a fan of Project Farm, I hadn't thought of it that way, but I can see how it might not appeal to some people Smilie

From Amazon Q & A:
"Yes, the Retevis RT85 Handheld Ham Radio requires an Amateur Radio License (Ham Radio License) to operate legally in the United States."
Don't wanna be that guy but

I wonder how these compare to these [a.co] Baofeng slimline walkies?
Considering one of these for the kids to use around the house.

On second look, I'd go for the Baofeng which have 2w output as opposed to 0.5w for these.

Yes, but no. They definitely have enough range to go from aft to stern, but cruise lines will not allow you to bring them onboard. I believe this rule applies to all cruise lines, but you should verify with the cruise line of your destination.

Granted, but really who cares about his voice? He tries to talk fast so as not to waste people's time. Personally I hate listening to people who talk slow.

Talk fast or speed up the video? I bet it is sped up, but IDK.

I just bought a set of 4 of these. Hope they're good. I've heard that's a good brand.
