Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Yea, I have Fidelity, Amex and Discover. It seems the only option available to choose (at least for the Pay Monthly) option was either my bank account or a debit card. There was no option to select a credit card at all.
My amex didn't show up either, only my BofA.

It looks like you are getting back 20% from PP before the retail coupons you applied. And now it seems the cap isnt $1250.
Very interesting. Please report back after your points post.
I picked up the tv. I am very eager to see the points post.

This was the case for me as well... I'm not sure how people are able to use their credit cards in conjunction with Pay Later. Unless there's some option that some of just aren't getting?
I was wrong. On a second review of the video I spotted a Valley CC as an autopay option. I initially thought it was my Valley debit cause the rest were debit cards. Maybe if I kept scrolling other eligible cards would have been there. I went in now and switched future payments to my discover card. I would not let me use Chase Freedom Flex after I added it even though it was already in my wallet. I see an Amex Blue Cash Prefered as another option. Hopefully Discover codes as a purchase and not a cash advance or something.

Those who are buying on eBay, you don't need to remove Paypal from your eBay account. At checkout, just choose the Paypal option and when you sign into Paypal, you can choose the Pay in 4 option instead of your credit cards or PPL balance or those other payment plans. This is when I use the browser on my Mac computer.

I just did it and I immediately got two text notifications on my phone from the Paypal app:
1.You just paid a merchant on eBay
2.You have xxxx points pending

sure I guess
still pretty close to cb which is how I see it
redeemable for BestBuy, Walmart, eBay, instacart, ubereats, or doordash (all of which I shop at often)
usually that site voids the cb if you use any coupon codes unless the coupon is published on that site itself.

"When applying for PayPal Pay Later solutions, a soft credit check may be needed, but will not affect your credit score. You must be 18 years old or older when applying for Pay Later"

From The Experian Website:
You do not need to unlock your credit for a soft pull, as a credit freeze does not block soft inquiries. Soft pulls, which do not affect your credit score, can still occur while your credit is frozen, such as when you check your own credit or when a potential employer or landlord reviews your report. You only need to unlock your credit (lift the freeze) if you are applying for new credit, as this requires a hard inquiry

its not an affiliate code from another cb site
code was provided by csr
there's also a 10% code that pops up if you stick around checkout for a while

YMMV, It doesn't need to be from another site. I've been denied for using a tripadvisor coupon that tripadvisor provided because it didn't appear on the cb's site own tripadvisor launch page.

Are you sure about that? Did it happen to you?
Yes, 100% experience on this issue. Two separate orders on 11/11 from Aliexpress for ~ $425 total. Both were processed as cash advance to my Chase credit card resulting in $25 in transaction fees, loss of any rewards points and loss of additional 1 yr warranty extension on both products. I am talking from experience also when I say all three are point fingers at each other with no one accepting any responsibility.

not sure about your situation
but ive had good success on the cb with coupon codes that aren't advertised on the main sites

I've made a $600 purchase from Samsung last year and used a generated code provided by their csr as well and still got the cb

Welp, I think because I have a paypal merchant account I'm not getting the option for Pay In 4, even though I was able to activate this offer. Lame.
