Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

What does pay 25% as down-payment mean?
It's the first of 4 biweekly installment with the Pay in 4 option. The first payment is processed immediately upon purchase.

When I select pay in 4 I am not able to select any credit card on my PayPal account as payment option. Is that expected? Please help
Yes, it seems a lot of cards will not work. You may need to use your debit card if none of yours work.

"a soft credit check may be needed" I do not have any credit card yet. I only have one debit card tied to my Paypal account. Can I still get the reward?

I used it on a Laptop from ebay which was posted here https://slickdeals.net/f/18821461-acer-predator-helios-neo-ai-16s-cert-refurb-16-qhd-240hz-oled-rtx-5070-ti-ultra-9-275hx-32gb-ddr5-1tb-ssd-1382-28-at-acer-via-ebay?v=1&src=SiteSearch with the PayPal Cashback 20% it should come to around $1193 which is really a fantastic price for this 5070 ti laptop that I've been eyeing. I was going to wait until BF and hope a 5080 price would fall, but I'm not sure if this offer will be tapped out before then. Also the 5080 would still be a lot more expensive than this one and either way pretty happy with the purchase at that price. I see the points pending (29581 points) in my Rewards section as well.

I only see pay in 3 months option in Missouri. Also it requires to pay interest like 25% APR. Then what is the deal with 20% cashback if we have to pay 5-35% APR?
Call your governor and ask him why MO is so often left off with such promotions designed to help people spent money. Also ask him what's the deal with usury and why so many people in the state are poor.

Anyone know if there's a way to get this to work for a purchase over $1500 at Best Buy? Do they let you split it and put $1500 on the plan and the rest with another card?
Maybe just buy a Best Buy gift card for $250 and at checkout, charge $1250 to Paypal. I think that might work but not sure how BBY treats it.

I checked my Chase credit card that ties to my PayPal account for $22 purchase on 11/16 from AliExpress, and yes, the transaction is coded as cash advance! Screw PayPal! I haven't seen any fees yet since the charge is still on pending but it definitely doesn't look good!

Thanks for the heads-up. I checked my Chase credit card transactions, and it did charge me a $10 fee for the $16 AliExpress purchase I made through PayPal on 11/14. The transaction is listed as a 'Cash Advance". This issue seems to have started this month only. My previous month transactions says "Purchase" and no fee was charged.

Anyone made a purchase with Rooms to Go online? I can Pay in 4 at the shopping cart PayPal option but the price is before delivery and taxes so I went all the the way to final checkout where it shows the final charges including taxes and delivery but right here PayPal doesn't give me the pay in 4 option.
