Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Looks like it will work at Aliexpress
If you're going to buy from AliExpress only buy with PayPal Credit line since that doesn't get charged a cash advance fee. Although this offer will not apply if you do use PayPal Credit so I'll avoid AliExpress at all costs for this offer.

So annoying I am $15 over the $1500 limit on the washer/dryer purchase and so pay in 4 is not an option and there is no way to split payment on the LG site and bring it down under the limit. Uggh.

Each person has a limit on how much credit they have allotted to them by Paypal. For example some people have $1500 they can spend total. It's not multiple numbers of $1250 transactions.
Still that means you can get rewards on more than $1250 (1500 in your example, 2600 in my case)Also you can payoff the balance to freeup your limit and make more purchases, get more rewards

Looks like there is a limit to pay in 4. Gone after 2 active ones. I just paid them off so will see in a day whether the option comes back up.

anyone know if there's a way i can make this work at costco? i'm trying to get the meta 3s but i feel like i won't really use it much. so if it's 160, that'll be nice at 200 just feels like it's a waste of money.
I have not been able to find a way to do a costco order although I surely would like to.

Yeah no luck. I have a $100 discount for buying the 2 items (washer and dryer) and then a chat rep gave me another 10% off code since the coupon they emailed me this AM wasn't working. Agent said that is the best she can do. If the coupon was 11% I would be in business, lol.

Just made a second order today at Target on a gift card and 20% points pending
i thought i saw it say in the terms that gift cards don't count. i think that points pending is not going to work. they're too smart nowadays to let you do that.

So picked up a open box MacBook Air from Best Buy.. 15 Inch M4 16gb/512Gb SSD

$963.99 - Open box price from $1,399.00
20557 points pending from PayPal = $205.57 coming back

So, when it's all said and done,

$758 total..

Saved $641..

Thanks SD!

What is that 5% you mentioned?
I assumed that the BNPL 5% discount would apply on top of the 1250 purchased value. However I'm unsure now. I have 26500 points pending from my purchase (around 264$) - which works out to around 20% of the total value (above 1250). Not sure if this will post fully though.

You can try again and tell them you have $1500 limit on your credit card which is preventing you from buying it.

Yeah tried that - they just told me to find a cheaper set to buy instead.
I am in essence trying to double dip anyway. I have a cap one shopping 20% cashback deal as well and that is active and then if I could have done the paypal deal that would be another 20% cashback. Would be a big help to a kid who just bought a house.

My experience was I was limited to 2 Paypal buy in 4 payments and 1 Pay monthly, then I got rejected on my next attempt to use Paypal Pay Monthly. Wondering if this is the common experience.

I'm trying to place an order on Bestbuy.com but it doesn't have option to pay with PayPal during checkout. Do you have any idea what the issue might be? Any help/advice?
