Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Haven't used PayPal for a while, can someone please explain how funding works and fees involved? for example, 1) I buy something at anyretailerXXX.com, 2) use paypal to pay...how does Paypal fund the purchase? a) immediately debits my bank account linked to my Paypal account (no fee), b) charges my credit card linked to my Paypal account (fee ~3%). Last, if I do this "pay later" in 4 installments, then it's same as above only that it debits my bank account or charges my credit card 4 times as the installments come due? Also, the paypay 20% cashback goes into my paypal account and then what? can I withdraw to my bank account, does it stay in my PayPal account to use for other PayPal transactions... when do I get the cashback? immediately, end of the month, after all installment payments have been paid?
You choose which account you want it to pull from after approval during checkout. The funds are made available as points. A point is a dollar. You can transfer that back to your card or bank or let it ride and use it directly of a future paypal purchase. It looks like funds/points are given after payment is completed.

Reading through this thread I do not see if you payoff early will it actually refresh your pay it later available balance? I used all mine for 2 separate transactions but wondering if i pay it early can I do a 3rd...
Yes. And if you are under $1500, they will likely increase your limit to $1500 after you pay it off. I think I was at $1250 and after paying off a washer & dryer, it kicked up to the max. You can buy as much crap as you want, pay it off, and move on. The outstanding balance just needs to be under your limit.

How long does it take to get added back in your pool? I paid 1 of the 2 off and it is still not showing available 😞

Did 3 separate orders of $100 Amazon gift cards on Best Buy since they were giving $10 bb gc with each $100 Amazon. Was able to use the pay in 4 three times and now the option is gone even after paying off all three outstanding balances. Doh

I was literally doing the same thing, but after 2 transactions, the 'Pay in 4' option disappeared.......Is there a trick to use this for all $1250 eligible for 20%?

anyone know if there's a way i can make this work at costco? i'm trying to get the meta 3s but i feel like i won't really use it much. so if it's 160, that'll be nice at 200 just feels like it's a waste of money.

I just tried to use to buy iPhone through Apple and at first I had the pay in 4 option when I selected PayPal. But then it gave me an error message when I tried to complete the transaction and now it doesn't show the pay in 4 option - only the monthly pay later. Anyone able to successfully use w Apple?
I did and am picking up a iPhone today

YMMV. Spotted this on mobile and desktop. Expires 12/8/25. Up to $250 cashback (up to $1250 spend).

Since Chase Freedom has 5% cashback starting December 1st, you should be able to stack those two together, then pay the remaining payments early to milk the remainder of that cash back.
Chase and Cap 1 cards cannot be used for the PP Pay 4 deal.
