Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Yes, two orders - one was technically after midnight, so they were two different days.

It's now after noon, and the pay in 4 / monthly option isn't available gain, yet.

I understand that some vendors do accept PayPal, but don't offer PayPal Buy Now / Pay Later. Is that correct?

For example, I'm looking at Western Digital right now. WD accepts PayPal, but it doesn't say whether it accepts Pay Later. What I don't want is to commit to buying, then it sends me to PayPal to complete the transaction... but then Pay Later isn't shown as an option over there. Any ideas?

Thank you for the information. So, do you think it resets after midnight and I can order tomorrow?

I just made two orders and the total amount of CB pending is over $250 ($170 each). I really hope we get some clarity whether it'll be adjusted down or if it actually IS $250 per $1250 purchase with no limit to transaction numbers. I ordered something this morning before hearing about the Paypal deal and if this is the case I'm going to have to return it and rebuy lol.

It costs them more than a regular PayPal transaction. So not all merchants are willing to eat the extra costs.

Well, I don't know if it being a different day was the trigger, or if it was due to elapsed time since using "pay in 4". It was actually at 2:40 AM, about 8 hours after my previous "pay in 4" purchase, so I hadn't tried it just after midnight. However, it's now been 10 hours since my 2:40 AM purchase, and "pay in 4" / "monthly" option still hasn't returned, so it could be daily related.

The message about "Application information tied to unusual activity" was about a full day before my first "pay in 4" was completed.

I see. Thanks.

So it's safe to assume that if the vendor's website doesn't explicitly say that it does offer PayPal Buy Now / Pay Later... then it's not offered?

Tried this at apple website, selected Pay in 4, confirmed the 4 installment amounts. BUT in the final confirmation screen it shows "Pay in full with Paypal" with the full amount shown.

Anyone experience this ordering from apple.com ? Am I doing something wrong?

How much are you trying to spend, there is a "credit limit" for pay in 4 that varies from person to person but in general won't work for any purchase over $1500, sometimes less.

Paypal is "taking the risk" and billing you 1/4th now, giving the vendor the full amount, and hoping you pay off the rest. So they won't extend infinite credit.

Used pay in 4 twice yesterday, and today 'pay in 4' doesn't appear anymore. Anyone experienced the same? - never mind. The other comments says the same story
