Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Tried this at apple website, selected Pay in 4, confirmed the 4 installment amounts. BUT in the final confirmation screen it shows "Pay in full with Paypal" with the full amount shown.

Anyone experience this ordering from apple.com ? Am I doing something wrong?
Same here, the total adds up to the full amount.... am I reading this wrong?

How much are you trying to spend, there is a "credit limit" for pay in 4 that varies from person to person but in general won't work for any purchase over $1500, sometimes less.

Paypal is "taking the risk" and billing you 1/4th now, giving the vendor the full amount, and hoping you pay off the rest. So they won't extend infinite credit.
Total was around $1200 or a little under...

Wow, this is insane. I had an offer from Target for buying $100 worth of item from Holiday Wish List and get $15 reward. So I added $100 airbnb gift card (which also has a $10 Target gift card offer) to my wish list and bought it. I paid with PayPal Pay in 4. Immediately I got $100 airbnb gift card, $10 Target gift card, $15 Target reward and PayPal 1800 points! PayPal deducted the $10 Target Gift Card when calculating the points. But I will take it!!

On my REI purchase, when I click on it, a line says, "We paid the merchant in full so you can pay over time."

I sure hope the cashback comes through. Will end up getting a 9070 XT for around $460 plus tax after the cashback. Fingers crossed. I made sure to add the offer first. Says I think like 14 days after first payment it should show up right?

This is paypal. They will block accounts from using pay in 4 if they detect...well anything. I mean anything. My wife had something at checkout, closed the paypal popup window and then was blocked. On her account she has a pending charge for the pay in 4 and now they removed pay in 4 as an option like what you're seeing. Also new accounts don't seem to work, every time you add a new card it just says "this card cant be used for this..."

Just did it purchasing a laptop on Bestbuy. Used my bank instead of discover card to make automatic payments. Shows up in paypal account as "pay in four" but no rewards showed up. Offer was activated in my account. Do rewards take a certain amount of time to show up?

Has anyone confirmed that the limit is $250 rewards PER transaction, or is it the TOTAL amount in rewards you can receive during this promotion?

Update: Found several mentions in the thread that seem to indicate that the reward is PER transaction, with the only limit being the amount of credit Paypal is offering you. In my case it is $1500, so while the rewards is capped at max $250/transaction, I can purchase something up to the $1500 limit.

But if you pay off the balance on a previous transaction early, you will free up your limit again and can get 20% on new transactions.

Purchased $160 worth on Home Depot website, made up of $100 GC and $60 physical merchandise. However, I only see 2000 points pending. That can't be correct.

That's what I'm wondering too, since my order was shipped out already and my points still say pending while others know right off the bat how much points they got

I didn't even see the pending rewards section. Mine are both pending as well from yesterday.
