Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Has anyone saved the offer to their Paypal account recently (like in the past 2 hours)? The offer for me doesn't show up under rewards

The legal terms are really not clear. I can interpret is as you get 20% cash back $250 in total up to payments made of $1250. Then payments after up to $5,000 which is only $3,750 is 5% cash back which is $187.50. So max cash back is $437.50
After my post above about this, I ran it through ChatGPT. It agreed with my analysis and pointed out the other caveats about abuse and such, but that there is no individual limit across transactions, only the individual transaction limit of $1250 spend and $250 rewards to go with it.

No, both Pay in 4 and Pay Monthly qualify. I wasn't seeing the Pay in 4 option so tried the pay monthly and the points show up as pending now. I paid it off right away and it shows 0 interest accrued.

The terms says monthly qualifies.

Exact words, ""Eligible Purchase(s)": Eligible Purchases are purchases made using either Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly that are completed during the Offer Period by an Eligible Participant who has saved the Offer."

We'll see later on man, but I'm pretty sure it won't qualify otherwise they wouldn't of advertised it as "pay in 4" only.

I've seen posts that indicate you do and they check TransUnion.

I didn't get all orders canceled. My first 3 orders through 3 different vendors all show the points pending with the numbers.

It was only later with different and repeated Walmart orders that were canceled (immediately), which were canceled by Walmart, not Paypal. And the third try, paypal just rejected it for unsual activity. But that message appeared before, and I was able to go back in and use Pay in 4 a day later. So, I'm just waiting at this point.

No. When I click on the link and then "Or save offer on the website", I don't see the offer under "Your featured offers" in my account. I see a bunch of unrelated offers instead. So I wonder if the offer has been exhausted or if my account was never selected.

No, I had to unfreeze Equifax, and I left Transunion frozen. All was good.

I placed the same order last night. It was cancelled this morning because "we require additional information." I called them and they said that the order was cancelled due to "unverifiable information," and that if placed the order again it would likely be cancelled due to the same reason.
Staples needs to figure this out, or they are going to drive away customers. Because of this, I have very little interest in ever ordering again. What even is the unverifiable information they speak of? Do they even know?

Wasn't given a rejection on my two attempts at Walmart. All indications were that it was successful during the Pay in 4 process and finalizing the order, including Walmart thanking me for my order and showing the total and how much I saved. I hadn't checked email yet, and only difference at Paypal was that it wasn't showing the number of points, it just said "points pending". That's when I went to my email and saw that I had gotten an immediately cancellation from Walmart. They just said it was a mistake by their automated security, and it happened twice.

I tried it a third time with a much reduced order, and that time it did decline me for unusual activity. So, I'm in a waiting period for Pay in 4 to show up again. Last time I got that message, the option showed up the next day. It's only been 7 1/2 hours since that problem. So, I think it will take some more time, maybe until tomorrow.
I wonder if something about paying later with Paypal is triggering security at some places. Very odd. As my rejection was also today, I am encouraged by the possibility that it could allow me to try again tomorrow. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
